Modiphius has now released a new PDF sourcebook for their Infinity roleplaying game. Mercenaries is now available over on their webstore, packed with additional content for those exploring this Sci-Fi universe.

Infinity Mercenaries Sourcebook - Corvus Belli

Inside this particular addition to the range...

  • Information on six of the major mercenary companies in the Human Sphere plus independent units such as the glamorous Foreign Company, the despicable Ikari, the discreet Spiral Corps, and the formidable Dahshat Company.
  • Rules and guidelines to develop your own career in the War Market, plus Lifepaths for Warmongers, Wardrivers, Recruiters, Arms Dealers, and others.
  • Weapons, equipment, and vehicles to kit your up-and-coming mercenary troops in order to fulfil their latest contract including antitank weapons, supplies, enhancement drugs, and pulpibeer!
  • Detailed rules on how to create your own Free Company and play a campaign focused on mercenaries.

So, one of the awesome things about this is that you could find yourself making the different elements of a Free Company and playing out the lives of those characters. This could mean that you and your friends make those boots-on-the-ground soldiers who slog it out for the highest bidder, or perhaps one of the higher-ups who is controlling the business side of things.

Playing as Mercenaries also means that you're not tied to one particular faction and you'll be able to make your way across the stars fighting for all manner of different groups. You could find yourself fighting alongside the gruff and grizzled warriors of Ariadna, or through the technologically-packed streets of ALEPH cities.

It could also call up some interesting confrontations as soldiers from different backgrounds clash as their ideologies come into conflict.

What do you make of this new sourcebook?
