Now it's time to get into the nitty gritty and start explaining some of the charts that pop up in the Human Sphere N3 Book for Infinity. We're going to be explaining all about Hacker Devices including the EVO Hacker Devices, Killer Hacker Devices and finally the White Hacker Devices.

Probably wishful thinking but an EI aspect with killer hacker device would be awesome, maybe the Anathematic for TO camo, nomad crunching, fruit slicing monofilament toting goodness.
Ok, a question here – if the defending player decides to spend a Command Token to give his remotes B2 in ARO using EVO HD. This program lasts 2 turns. Would an AD remote appearing on the table also benefit from this program in effect?

Looks interesting. Since rightnow im not playing any hacker faction. The Killer device will be just oponent specialist. But the Evo looks like autoinclude And can change the meta alot.

Hackers….the game within the game. CB just fully pulled netrunners into the game. The layering of tactics the game designers are pulling off is simply brilliant. Love it!

A friend of mine just said this, but isn’t TO camo better than cybermask? One is a -6 to discover, the other is a straight roll.
Yep, but if you’ve got Cybermask running, you won’t trigger enemy mines.
Added (but really situational!) bonus, a template weapon can’t catch you as that would count as catching a friendly in the blast.

Hacking is either a great way to bring a force multiplier to the field, or a fantastic way to spent 5 min looking up rules to find out it won’t work on that target…

A lot of people saying this. But cybermask is a straight roll to discover. TO camo is -6. Why would you choose to cybermask instead of just putting your TO on? 🙂
Multispectral visors and sensors do not work against Impersonation but they do work against camo. Therefore there are some situations where Impersonation (Cybermask) > Camo.

Just yes, O yes gaget EVO programmes are awesome I usually alway took an EVO in my lists now I think always for definate as I love REMs. Can’t wait to try out a killer hacking devise with an interventor and with a camo infiltrator. Im happy with the white hacking devise again sothing I will definatly try out.

Man, one of the reasons I went with Ariadna was to avoid having to play the hacker game and – for the most part – be exempt from it. Now it seems like I’m going to have to get my head around all these hacking devices after all 🙁

I’m a bit worried though that there is no mention of Haqqislam in this video. Only the Druze (which is technically a mercenary) is mentioned as having a Killer hacker device. Surely there must at least be some Hassassin who also has it?
I’m wondering to what strengths Haqqislam should play. An abundance of Haris teams perhaps? Even better doctors? (If only my enemies wouldn’t shoot my soldiers straight to dead in most cases.)

Just ordered my first Aleph Probot. This will be really good for my fireteams.
Looks like I’m going to have to finally master hacking Not just Melee. I really hope theyre not taking away the normal EVO repeaters or assault device is because I kind of really enjoy those as well. But still super excited To have a scalpel type hacker.
Still Ariadna is a tough nut to crack, bur everyone else. Let the fun begin.
Guess if ariadna will get access to evo devices, or at least some white ones.

My Ninja normally rocks an Assault Hacking Device, but as a trained assassin, I might switch to the Killer.

Was hoping for some changes to the Asura hacker profile, but guess we’ll have to wait and see if anything happens there.
New EVO hackers look super useful- I’ll be sure to pick them up the minute we get a remodel for the goofy looking probots!

Coordinated Order hacks??! EVO seems like a must-have for Nomads. They almost seem broken, but adding the Killer Hackers at the same time balances things out. I imagine we’ll see hackers become more prevalent, but along with that will come more anti-hacker tools.
Very happy with all that was revealed, I can hardly wait to play with the new toys that we have.
Question: I didn’t hear if any of the existing hacking devices are getting any new programs. For example are there any new sword 1 programs that existing devices will have access to.
Haven’t yet gotten use to hacking…guess I am just much more blunt in my approach

I’ve been working on getting a variety of hacking devices into my lists, this is just going to make me work harder.
Love the KHD, but am a bit skeptical about the EVO. Never was a fan of the old EVO, and the new also feels like it’s just packing more in where more isn’t necessary. Guess we’ll see how it works out.

Evo’s will actually get some play now and Hacker Killers will be helpful for factions like Yu Jing who can be very susceptible to hackers due to all the HI.

ive never really looked at infinity but this week has been awesome!

Haven’t got my Fast Pandas on the table top yet and never played with hackers yet.
Being an Ariadna fan we laugh at such technological nonsense.
That said, I am loving the pre-order mini and having the chance to kill enemy hackers. I think she would paint up in Ariadna colours just fine. 🙂
Really interested in getting my Pano team some repeaters / remotes / robot fun. Not sure what to get, but will aim for something with an EVO hacking device now.

These new devices and rule are going to make for some interesting game play. I think mastering hacking is going to really set a player apart from his competition.

my question is the following are hacker devices still repeaters? if so you could use the cheap killer hacker to channel another with more programs. isnt it?
I actually played a game against Killian a few weeks ago. He was showing me the ropes. This looks like (and is) so much fun. Can’t wait to get my noob crews painted up so I can start learning to use hacking etc.

I never really encountered hacking in tabletop games, with perhaps the cyberpunk rpg being an exception, but this seems very well thought out. I haven’t played Infinity yet, but this is a very interesting discussion and troop type for a game.

I love hackers. they (corvus belli) have put a lot of thought into the way hacking should work in this game and have even based some of the hacking ideas on real world future tech. another win for corvus belli.
considering that the best code breakers are computers, it makes sense that remotes (a fancy computer) should be hacking. plus evo repeaters were underutilized for lack of utility. not to say that were not useful but i think people failed to field them for a lack of weaponry. now they are a great tool that can truly change the way a force can be fielded. i am very excited for this change.
I am just starting to figure out to start and these videos really get me excited to learn the game.

Usually play Ariadna but have been thinking of starting a second faction, may have to look into a faction with good hacking capabilities as its not something I really tried before

Never took EVO repeater bots but after watching this I think they will be an auto include for most people. Nice to see the changes but my head hurts with all the new hacking programs lol 🙂
My hacker ninja will love the option to change out for a Killer hacker device. Don’t really do much hacking against my regular opponent who plays Ariadna, but still find her usefull as a mission specialist.

So excited to see more hacking devices and more of a focus on the Infowar aspect of the game. Its one of the coolest parts of Infinity and broadening it will only increase tactical depth in the game that always makes me make hard choices.

Carlos should have his own weekly show on beasts of war, he is really enthusiastic about his game.
I think they have expanded the hacking devices and their abilities nicely. A lot of potential for good combos all around.
I think I am gonna be using A killer Hacker Drzue Duo in my QK. That is gonna leave a lot of points for heavy and Harris links. Will be very points efficient I guess.

I only recently got a hacker and some REMs for my Haqqislam army. I’m looking forward to trying them out!

Nice new variety to the hacking meta.
So I am a collector of Infinity minis, but never made the leap to player. Admittedly I am not the best strategist, and the hacking and camp rules have traditionally been a bit intimidating. But now, 5 types of hacking devices plus the EI versions! For a beginner this seems even more out of reach.
Really the best thing to do is just start playing. You don’t have to play with all the toys and special tricks. Find a new player to start learning with or better an experienced player who has the wits not to trounce you while you learn. As you play games and gain familiarity then you can add in more rules/equipment/tactics. Infinity is definitely a deep game but if you are just playing casually (as opposed to tournaments) then I see no reason why you couldn’t dive right in.
Corvus belli is so creative company. Hacking looks like magic of the future. So nice?
I’ll create a GUI interface using Visual Basic, see if I can track an IP address.
Looks like my PanO will be more hacking savvy in the future. I like that.

Thought when N3 came out it was so cool how hacking had been taken to a new level and great to see the concept being extended with extra cool stuff. As a relatively inexperienced player who often plays against Ariadna have not really used hacking much but looking forward to giving it more of a go given its such as critical part of the game.
