USAriadna Week continues with a discussion on the design process of the latest army to hit the Infinity universe. Not only that but there is some sweet looking concept art to show off as well.

I love the US Ariadna and am sad that the prize is not the set and is Icestorm
Maybe it’s because Icestorm is already available and the USAr set is still in pre-order stages? I agree though, beautiful set.
Well, when it was Icestorm week the prizes were TAGs for Pano and Nomads not Icestorm itself. So they must be going with something that is available. Also Icestorm is a fantastic prize.
They remind me of the UNSC marines from the Halo games.

Well, these are some cool minis for sure, but Ariadne would still only be my second choice of faction if I started getting into Infinity.

I’m with you on the camo pattern thing, Killian. I put a camo pattern on my Chasseur and I found it tricky to pull off enough contrast AND keep it looking realistic.. and that was just my interpretation of US Woodland! I think a good looking digital pattern will ruin my eyes lol

The bike puts me in mind of a Buell Ulysses, but with a flat-six engine instead of a v-twn, which is good. Looks suitably rugged, really like the design.

Ariadna were the faction box I initially purchased with Infinity, though I’ve yet to actually play the game, I got the Scots specifically. They look absolutely savage but a complete blast to play.
i hope we could see the USAriadna in action in one of the next videos 🙂

I like what they did with the bikes. The would have their own design on the bikes and have that military look.
Also overall i love that they took a few steps away from the Anime style and made it their own.
I totaly like the Foxtrot and the Devil Dogs, we need more big wolves with revolvers!

That dog warrior marine is amazing and I really like the combo team with the antipode which is also a really great model.

Just getting back into Infinity and this stuff is making me re-think my choice of faction.
As always it’s great to have Carlos on the show and talk about the game. It’s nice to see the thinking that goes into the design of the units. I love the near future styling of the faction.

I do like the way that the different factions have sub-groups with such different feel to them and that you can run a mixed army or focus on one the sub-groups. Really gives great options for army building and narrative.
Ariadna isn’t my favourite faction in the game, at least it wasn’t. The models in this box have changed my mind about that! 🙂 I think I’ll have to get my order in!

They’re so awesome. Every part of the set is cool.
I’m loving the design of these guys, and odds are I’m going to be investing in this. But I really love the unit names too, they really have a great American flare to them. Though I think that there was an opportunity lost with the Maverick. Could have called it the Rough Rider. My favorite is probably the Devil Dog team though.

These designs look really cool. They remind me of an X-com or G.I. Joe team with everyone bringing a distinctive look and special skills.

I’ve been looking for months at models. I think I’m ready to jump into this game.
I like the look of this game but the reports I have watched did not seem all that fun. That being said if I could find a group I just might try top get into it. I like the low cost of entry for sure.

I remember when I first started playing Infinity I was torn between Ariadne and Yu Jing but I ended up picking up the Yu Jing because I liked the sculpts better. Well with this new release guess I just decided on my third army (sorry Haqqislam).

I am a fan of all the new stuff for Ariadna. I don’t play Infinity but I’ve been watching from the sidelines for quite sometime. I would be interested in knowing how these models can work themselves into a gerenic Ariadna list.

Great video! It’s always interesting to here the conceptual work Corvus Belli puts into their factions and US Ariadna is no slouch in terms of careful internal design. On top of that, they keep changing up expectations for unit archetypes without breaking the balance or giving in to power creep. I can’t wait to see these models in the flesh (err, pewter…) Oh, and as I am federally required to add it: USA! USA! USA!

A timely release to tell the missus what i need for my birthday tomorrow!
With Age of Sigmar not really doing it for me, I’m considering dumping most of my WFB minis and choosing Infinity as my non-historical game of choice. The stuff in this set is pretty nice. I’m still torn between Ariadna and Nomads though.
As a huge fan of Appleseed and Ghost in the Shell the art style was one of the main things that attracted me to Infinity in the first place. Also I love the creativity from the CB team! Hahaha love the Ray Ban case behind Carlos it just fits right into the whole US sectorial army atmosphere!
I love the design aesthetic of Corvus Belli, I haven’t seen a miniature yet that I dislike from them.
Wow I love the us ariadna design. Specialy the devil dogs and the ranger class looks very attractive for my current army 😉

Has anyone noticed? USAriadna has a real thing for v-necks. Certainly has the model focus to bring the army together as a coherent force.

So pretty… Was never a huge fan of the ariadna faction in general (compared to the sleek and shiny look of some of the other factions) but this box has changed my mind and become a must have 😀

I’m loving the look of these, after the bootcamp I was thinking of picking up Icestorm and a couple of TAGs so my two mates can wade in with me and we’d have the tokens and templates. Seeing how this contains all the templates and tokens and a few more buildings I’m torn between grabbing this and something completely out of left field instead. Damn you Carlos *shakes fist* how can I make a decision with so many choices!
Very nice – but where’s the counterpoint/ balance against these guys, simply points cost?
I just hope the Devil Dogs can be used with Antipodes and Dog-Warriors; I can picture my Mirage Team, Duroc to be precise, dropping from the sky while a Dogface is running about followed by an Antipode pack whilst a Cameronian comes along from their left flank.

love the idea that their kind of like US Rangers. almost in look and in fighting style except for the “war Dog” puts a whole new spin on the Marine idea of the Devil Dog’s

Wasn’t really into Ariadna faction and even less about USAriadna. But now i’m kinda hyped.
The sculp, even if they aren’t the best I’ve seen from CB, they’re still solid, and the design is cool. Just what it need to be futuristic but not too much.
I really like that concept of army box coming to Infinity, can’t wait for a and even more the idea of re-using the Moto-tronica scenery pack with other textures.
I can’t wait to get my hands on these minis to paint. So many ideas too few minis.

I’m really glad that they went with a proper utility bike and not a chopper for these guys, it sells the set for me.
Hmmm If I didn’t know better I would say these were a little rushed and don’t seem to quite fit in with the quality of the rest of infinities new minis.

I’m liking the modern military look, not only for a really armed appearance but it gives the impression of being more outdated than some Ariadna purely because of the modern aesthetic compared to the mech suits or sleek futuristic armour of other factions.
The figures as they are look like they are totally badass assembled back at the base waiting for a mission briefing. But I can understand the criticism about the poses being a bit static when they are on the table getting a mission done.
I love the idea of the sectorial army though!! I can’t wait to see this up on the army builder!!

I like the work they’ve done to distinguish the bikes. Giving them normal wheels and not the neat sci-fi ones like the Kum bikers get is a nice touch.

Hoohah! The only negative I can see is that because the “Marine” option is a wicked dog warrior, it gets rid of the notion of “every Marine a rifleman.” On the other side, he looks just as lethal as a Marine.

One of the great things about Infinity is that armies aren’t that big so it is very easy to build up a collection of several armies/factions.

This is another great starter, a bit expensive compared with Operation Icestorm. From this video I remembered some months ago I meet Bostria in Madrid and (stupid of me) I suggested him to take some English lessons, just for improving the pronunciation (I need it too) because of being professional and at the same time polite to the people that listens to you, then he stopped talking, turned around and started to talk with another guy… XD
Ariadna is definitely looking more interesting.
This kind of video is my cup of tea, always like hearing how they go through the process. I still probably won’t start Ariadna anytime soon (too much of other factions to paint) but the antipodes/dog warriors really hit the “must buy even if I don’t use it” nerve

These look great. Loving the contemporary-military look they’ve got going on. Hopefully they’ll scale well alongside some of the Hasslefree Modern Soldier models as they seem very similar. Plus the HF guys are gorgeous too AND I already have some! 😉

The Infinity videos have been great this week and it’s cool to see the concept art properly discussed and to see how close to the finished piece the minis have actually turned out.
But I’m getting frustrated listening to the comments on weapons and load-outs when I haven’t got a clue about them. I really need to get my hands on this rulebook. it was actually going to be my purchase this week until a certain Zombicide Kickstarter stole all my money instead…

I would caution Corvus Belli on designing native soldiers: There’s a lot of real actual history there, and a lot of stuff that’s passed off as real history that would just end up being offensive… Not saying don’t do it, but it’s one to take the care to get right.

I like 80% but the marauders kind of look like GW Cadians (although much better sculpted. Come on GW, get it together.)
I love that they finally decided to give some attention to the minutemen. I remember when this game fist came out and the only USAriadna model was the “Ohio” minuteman with the Panzerfaust. That model alone went a long way to wining over a few FLGS in the Colombus, OH area to try infinity. Hopefully this will bring this game back around my neck of the woods.
