Grindhouse’s Incursion Finally Takes To Kickstarter!
August 1, 2013 by brennon
Grindhouse Games have finally unleashed Incursion on Kickstarter and you can check out the game and some of its updated contents below. See what you think of this newest edition...
The new boxed game and its expansion are both part of the Kickstarter and you'll be able to bring a whole bunch of awesome plastic figures to the tabletop.
As you can see you get quite a lot of bits and pieces within the core set and the expansion. The design has been turned up to eleven with this game and the change in quality should make the game very appealing.
It's been a long time coming and they have already pushed past the $20,000 in just under a day. I reckon they will hit their target in no time.
Will you be pledging for this one?

It looks like now you have the good amount of zombies in the base box. I wonder how the new rules play…
Unless I’m reading it wrong there’s not an upgrade pledge to add the minis for people who bought the first ed. Throw in the shipping and customs and I’m passing on this one.
Actually there is. The “Metalhead”, or “Plastichead” pledge level allows you to pick up the updated rules for Incursion and SNAFU, cards, model cards. exclusive “Grettel” figure and character figure pack #1. They are $80 for the metal version and $65 for the plastic. If all you want are the original models in plastic the add-ons have the Incursion core miniatures set and the SNAFU miniatures set. They are $40 each pack. Jim Bailey has been up dating the pledge levels and add-ons based on feedback from people who have signed on or are thinking about signing on. As for… Read more »
Good job I subscribed to these comments else I’d wouldn’t have found that out. I applaud them for responding to the feedback though at the same time censure them for not doing their research in advance. I’ll keep an eye on this now.
Glad to be of help! 😉
John Bailey has announced in the comments section of the Kickstarter that he has a European fulfillment deal worked out with West Wind. That should eliminate Custom Duties for you!
Does it reduce the shipping cost as well?
I don’t believe so. I think it only eliminates the Customs Duties. Update #2 on the Kickstarter site has the details.
I’m afraid its too rich for me. Nice models and a good enough game (I’ve played the cardboard version), but I just can’t face spending >£100 plus £20 postage (plus whatever exhorbitant duty the VATman sticks on top when it turns up) just for a boardgame, even with an expansion. If you are mad nuts on Weird War 2, I can see someone going for it. But it’s all too much for me at the minute. It’s funny, but Weird War 2 is something I think I should be nuts for. I like straight WWII and I like steampunk, so… Read more »
well if you are willing to wait until retail west wind will stock it
Know how you feel Osbad. 🙁
This looks good for me but cannot justify the expense.
Factor in that the minis will never get painted, I would be lucky to get one game in a year…
:'(
Here’s an answer I got from Jim Bailey regarding the quality of the printed stuff :
“The game will be manufactured by either Panda or Ludo Fact. We’ll do linen embossing on surfaces. All high end stuff.”
the minis look beautiful and all but since its just a two player game and with shipping and all, it would come down to about 200 dollars. I think I will pass on this one.
random thought, those APE suits are currently going for 8 for $25, they look like they would make great alternatives for ork meganobz. heck even if you buy 2 packs of kromlech heads on them its still a saving of about 93 quid
Hadn’t thought of that, but now that you mention it the APE suits would work. I’m sorry, but every time an Orc player mentions “Meganobz” it makes me giggle. 🙂
I have 1st ed. so will probably go for the Platic Upgrade (can always use more zombies anyway)
FULLY FUNDED! WHOOOOT! WHOOOOT! The stretch goals are being revamped to hit much earlier. WHOOOOT! WHOOOOT!
First stretch goal reached!
well I am so glad there doing an inside euro delivery so you wont have to pay customs duty
Jim Bailey and Company are doing their best to make this kickstarter as accessible to as many people as possible. They have already re-arranged the pledges and stretch goals based on supporter feedback. Second stretch has been reached and funded.
A pledge calculator has been added that allows owners of the original game to pick exactly what they want “a la cart” style. The third stretch goal has been reached.
Fourth stretch goal has been reached, and new add-ons have been made available. These are faction dice (3 sets), plastic 3D doors (set of 10), and a set of Bomberzombies .
