Winged Banshees & Raiders Fight For The Legion In Hordes
December 17, 2015 by brennon
Privateer Press have put together two sets of plastic Grotesques that make both Banshees and Raiders for the Legion of Everblight. These sets will be out for Hordes come March of next year (2016)...
"Swooping out of the darkness, the terrifying grotesques unleash misery on those who stand against Everblight. Grotesque raiders speed across the battlefield on powerful wings before descending en masse to tear apart their prey.
Grotesque banshees let loose piercing cries that liquefy organs and drown out the thoughts of spellcasters, rendering their powers useless. Together these twisted creatures spread the horror of the dragon’s blight across the land."
These look like some fantastic models and its neat to see them all in lunging and attacking poses, ready to carve off a bit of the enemy for themselves. You can get a closer look at the differences between the two styles on the links above which will take you to some neat 360 degree shots of them.
Of the two of them I prefer the Raiders for their more cartoony side.
Will you be adding these to your collection?

I cant wait to get some of these. They were metal before and all those wings and sharp ends just scream ‘models will chip with use and transport’. I like the new Banshee alternatives!
SOne of the best to come out for this faction in a while.

Nice models. Good to see PP replacing more of their range with plastics. Wish they would do more of that rather than making new models for a while as some of their older models are looking very dated (Kayazy assassins, Nyss Hunters, Devil Dogs, Boomhowlers…) and/or really hard to assemble in metal (Nyss Hunters, Assault Kommandos, Bane Knights, Merc Warjacks etc.)
I’m liking the overall look of both units but I do wish this was a female unit due to the name there given. Banshee was a female irish spirit if I recall.
