January Welcomes More Wild Creatures To Privateer’s Hordes
October 11, 2017 by brennon
Launching into the start of next we have some goodies to look forward to from the world of Hordes by Privateer Press. Trollbloods are the name of the game, to begin with...
For example, here we have a new look Ice Troll with his spear at the ready, looking to make sure you don't get out of the cave you've wandered into.
There's also this Troll Basher which has been themed after the idea of ice as well. I love the big metal gauntlets which you know you're going to have to paint up in rusted bronze as a contrast to the rest of the model.
I wouldn't want to mess around with a creature as good as at wielding that club as he no doubt is either. He'd beat our quite the rhythm on your head.
Crocodiles & Croakers
Away from the Trollbloods we've also got some additions for the Minions faction too. Firstly we have what looks to be a new version of Barnabus, Lord Of Blood, who could snap you in half with those jaws.
I can't really tell much more from the model when it comes to its pose as it seems very strange right now. I can't quite tell where the arms are meant to be going! We also have this painted example of Kwaak Slickspine here too.
Now that fellow would be awesome to paint up I reckon. I really like the way they've crafted his expression and the little fellow tucked away in his chest too. The little chap in his chest is called Gub by the way if you were wondering!
Thanks to Warmachine & Hordes Australia for the images!
What do you make of these releases coming next year?
"...we have what looks to be a new version of Barnabus, Lord Of Blood, who could snap you in half with those jaws"
Daaaaaaaaamn those are looking good
Ooooopen your miiiiiiiiiiiiind Quaaaaaid.
Those look really good.
Oh no. My “no more warmahordes” resolution is wavering.
Company of Iron is your saviour, and then probably your damnation
Embrace the damnation and shun your resolution …… We have casual Fridays ….. think about it. 🙂
The Trolls are the business alright, and I love the croak caster too…. Bloody Barnabus doesn’t appear yo have his arm attached in the model . (you can see the square locking hole)
That’s not a locking hole that happens to be a gaping hole showing the bone. Also the arms are tied behind, look at all the chains and ropes.
Yeah I relised that when I uploaded the sketches … unfortunately these comment pages , are no-take-backsies, and my stupidity is enshrined for all time. 🙁
Oh .. and I embarrassed ro say I didn’t know the Warmachine & Hordes Australia facebook group exists. I will be humbly petitionong them for membership (the poor buggers)
they all look fantastic.
Lovely stuff, I believe that is not Barnabus but a solo. The croak mini is outstanding, company of iron croak force is calling.
Troll are nice, but not as hyped for them.
Indeed Mr @dags you are perceptive as you are wise , I have no doubt you have already seen these sketchs but I am including a link , so people can see that you are indeed correct

I’m not a fan of most of the Warmahordes ranges, but I love that goblin guy, whatever he is. He’s fantastic. And crocodile is ace too. I think his arm is behind his back. He’s wearing all sorts of chains and irons so is presumably a prisoner of some sort. So I think his arms are bound together behind his back.
Nice we finally get the conjoined Croak, This is also usable in Iron Kingdoms Unleashed where your character can be a conjoined Croak
Croak twins are cool as all frack. Dammit, now I need a new army.
That croaker may have to find its way into my box of random cool fantasy minis
dont play, bur have always liked these croc models
