Privateer Press have been aching to release this new take on the Iron Kingdoms for a while now and we've seen the excitement mounting over successive previews but now the time is finally here. The Iron Kingdoms Unleashed Adventure Kit is now available!

Iron Kingdoms Unleashed

Iron Kingdoms Unleashed (Box Back)

I got to sit in on a seminar about Unleashed when I visited Smogcon 2015 and the guys behind this have a real passion for making this something rich and engaging for role-players from other systems and of course fans of Iron Kingdoms and Immoren as a whole. Everything about the game oozes a rich and wild nature from the character classes and how they work to the brutal combat.

Unleashed Books

In the game box you'll get access to these two tomes which give you all the rules you need to play alongside some scenarios that all link together to form an interesting story out in the wilderness against a deadly Farrow tribe. You'll be walked through the basics of the game and over time learn how to use your interesting new character classes.

Unleashed Miniatures

All of this wont be minds eye either as you get fourteen ace little plastic miniatures to use within the game on the cool map tiles and tokens the box provides. There is a model for each of the heroes in the box and then of course you need some enemies to fight!

Unleashed Pre-Made Characters

Most games that provide you with pre-generated characters tend to prescribe to one 'path' going forward to keep thing simple but Unleashed didn't want to do that. Each of the characters has a couple of interesting roads they can take which change their character and how they react to different circumstances. For example Lurk can either become a deadly Bone Grinder on offense or a Mist Speaker, lurking at the back and striking when the time is right or avoiding combat entirely.

One of the BIG things about Unleashed for me is how they've bought the vibrant world of Hordes to life. Warbeasts will actually HAVE character to them and be animals in their own right. At SmogCon they showed off an image of a Warpwolf going wild in the farmlands and that's something you'll have to contend with as a Warlock. Keep your Warbeast fed, watered and happy and most importantly alive!

I think this set is an awesome way to get into not only the world of Hordes and Immoren but role-playing as a whole.

Will you be picking this up?
