We check out how the Hobby Lab is progressing at Salute 2012, meet Romain and have a quick chat with Tommy from Golem Painting, who selflessly volunteered his time at the lab.
Hobby Lab was our booth at Salute where everyone and anyone could try out some of the best hobby products on the market for free!
Good effort guys. Looked like a lot of fun to be had there.
Organised Chaos at its best. 🙂
Yup you can say that again 🙂 was a blast

Will try and get a club group together for next year. Should be fun to arrange at least.
Looking forward for the rest of the coverage.
Was very intensive but worth it. Everyone had an awesome time and proves that its a great idea!

While I didn’t partake in the lab it’s self our group brough along a young first timer who joined in the fun, he kept talking about all the way home, I got to meet justin and say hello which was cool. BOW have now set a standard, lets see what the future brings
I just thought I would add, a warm thank you to all the BOW guys for a great day and all your time and effort, much appriciated. Glad everyone got back even if Warren was scared of the flight.
Oh and a thank you to all the sponsors. 🙂
Great idea it was a shame there was so little time with every thing else going on at the show. still it did introduce me to the modelmates range of products
It was nice meeting you… As well as some of the fans !
Sharing your enthusiasm is what it’s all about… And it was an amazing show this year !
BoW Romain
It certainly was. Next year I’ll bring along everthing I need to base 🙂
No fair me want to play 🙁
Looks like you guys had a blast? Manic maybe, but deffo looks a blast!
Yeah, it was wicked – at no other show can I think of where you get to sit down, build and paint a mini and try out stuff, and for free too! 🙂
Hey that’s me in the pic, the dude in the grey top (and hair lol)! I got carried away with trying to to paint this Saxon and the time flew-I think I was on the table too long 😛 But I did get my Saxon painted, all nice and bloodied and muddied up-though I wish I had been a bit quicker and got to use the model mates stuff-prob buy some later on. When I got home I realised I’d painted my Saxon in an emerald green set of clothes, like a subconscious homage to our Irish BoW friends haha!… Read more »
I did not get to be in the picture, but the guy with the once red hair who braved one of the 54mm for the painting that is me
It was nice meeting you both… Please come again next year !
BoW Romain
A great day! the time i spent on the hobby lab flew by, i only had time to eat a pizza and swift wander round salute (not enough chance to browse and buy 🙁 )
Thanks Warren, Romain, Justin, Andy and the rest!
