Wargames Atlantic Sneak Medieval Foot Knights Into Their Releases
April 1, 2024 by brennon
Working with Paul Hicks and Andy Hobday (the creator of The Barons' War), Wargames Atlantic has released a new set of 28mm plastic miniatures for your Medieval wargames. The Foot Knights set is now available for you to pre-order and no, this isn't an April Fools.

Sculpted by Rob Macfarlane, this set has been designed to match the period of 1150 through to 1320 and comes packed with all sorts of options as you'd expect from a Wargames Atlantic sprue.
Foot Knights - Sprue // Wargames Atlantic
You get options for making all manner of knights armed with swords, shields, axes, falchions, maces and spears. You also get a bunch of different head options allowing you to make some characterful warriors clad in armour.

I really like the knight with the helmet tucked under his arm. It's a great pose and particularly heroic, allowing you to make some neat leaders for your warbands and more. What's more exciting is that this has been designed as just the start of the Age Of Chivalry range and there is much more coming soon.

The Age Of Chivalry range is also going to be expanding with 28mm plastic miniatures for Sergeants, Levy and Cavalry which essentially covers everything that you'd need for making a European Medieval warband in The Barons' War or an army in a much bigger game.

I must admit that when I first read this, I thought it was an elaborate April Fools joke but I went through the process of adding these to my cart on the Wargames Atlantic webstore and it all seemed legit. So, I think we might need to pass these miniatures on to Lloyd so he can start salivating about painting Crusaders and working on their little shields.
Are you going to be picking up this new set of plastic miniatures?

only if they throw in coconuts!
Feels like something they’ll add to their 3D printing empire haha
And if WGA don’t, I’m sure an enterprising sculptor will give it a go….
10/10 they literally just made every Monty Python fan’s wish list.
First thing I thought of.
I wonder how hard it would be to put three together for the Knights Who Say NI! ?
Those are indeed, very nice. Wish they’d come out before I bought so many metal figures.
I was thinking of building a proxy Basilean army for Kings of War, and these would look good as Paladin Foot guard with the Normans as men-at-arms.
