Firelock’s 6th Rate Frigate Is Now Shipshape For Blood & Plunder
November 26, 2019 by brennon
Firelock Games are talking about their games this week here OnTableTop but they've also got some pre-orders in the mix including their new 6th Rate Frigate which you can snag now ahead of a release on 6th December.
This is a rather stunning looking new ship which has been painted up rather splendidly by the folks at Firelock. Here is what they had to say about this particular ship...
"These warships were made for coastal protection, commerce raiding, and often pirate hunting. The 6th rate is a robust vessel that is designed to be fast, shallow draft, and heavily armed. Pirates were very rarely able to stand up to the might of a 6th Rate ship. Famously, Edward “Blackbeard” Teach was able to capture one and used it as part of his fleet. Our 6th rate was designed to recreate what Blackbeard’s Queen Anne’s Revenge might have looked like during the early 18th century."
Here are a few more sneaky shots of the front and back of the ship and some of the details on the hull, prow and stern.
This is a wonderful looking piece that I think would be splendid to paint even if you didn't get much of a chance to throw it into the mix in games. I love that the resin has been crafted to look a lot like wooden planks!
If you're looking for a seriously awesome ship to throw into the mix during your games of Blood & Plunder then this would be a good shout. I have seen some seriously cool looking battles where large ships are hoving into view, cannons firing and crews bellowing as they leap at their foes in boarding actions.
What do you think?

Already ordered!
a stunning looking ship.
That’s a beauty. I want to get into Blood and Plunder for the ships alone tbh.
I almost take this over the Galleon
Amazing sculpt!
Stunning, as everyone is saying. The paint job is awesome too!
