Black Sheep Miniatures Release First Wild West Models!
December 12, 2022 by brennon
Black Sheep Miniatures have now started selling their first range of models for use in your 28mm wargames. The Wild West is the focus of their first set of releases including cowboys, bandits, bank robbers and more.
Vaqueros A // Black Sheep Miniatures
First up, we have some of the first cowboys from the Wild West known as the Vaqueros. There are two packs for you to choose from and you can buy individual miniatures or get entire sets if you prefer.

What's quite nice about the choice to do the Vaqueros is that they are slightly different from the typical cowboys that you might see from other miniature producers. They tell a particular story in the Wild West, especially when clashing against the Banditos (more on them down below!). They also look awesome, very dynamic and a good fit when sat against other miniatures from the likes of Great Escape Games.
Talking of Banditos here are the two sets of them featuring their classic sombreros and those all-to-familiar bandoliers of bullets over their shoulders and across their chests.

As well as being useful for Dead Man's Hand which is quite a fan of Gerry's, these miniatures are also going to be handy for an upcoming game from Too Fat Lardies. What A Cowboy! is on the way in the near future from them and these miniatures would be perfect. Of course, you could use these miniatures with whatever game you like! Maybe a bit of Legends Of The Old West?
We really liked the Bank Robbers in particular from the folks at Black Sheep and they are going to be awesome for train robberies and classic bank jobs in the centre of frontier towns. I like that they are in the moment of actually stealing stuff!

Last but not least, you have the Prospectors who are not all that happy with the fact that you've stolen gold from their mine. I feel like they look a bit too clean and might need a good bit of dirt, grime and blasting powder for good measure.

All of the miniatures from Black Sheep are 28mm in scale and come in metal. Where are they going next? Well, they have plans for another pack of Wild West miniatures and will also be making models to suit other eras and genres too.
I am very eager to see where Black Sheep Miniatures goes next and I imagine Gerry already has these in his shopping cart.
Are you going to be diving into this Wild West range?

The Good the Bad an the shiny shiny.
Love the Mexicans
The sculpts aren’t ground-breaking, but they’re thoughtful and have an under-stated realism to them. I really like them. And really great value at £10 for each set of 5.
Like the paint jobs too, nice level of colours and detail to make them attractive.
Those look super nice
