Zapador Gets a Work-in-Progress from Tercio Creativo
November 6, 2012 by brennon
Another member of the Old Purple is at the Work-in-Progress stage with Tercio Creativo. Check out Zapador below, and maybe you can help me make sense of the miniature!
He certainly has some kind of weapon strapped to his back, and I can see he is in a bit of a leaping pose, but what has he got clutched in his hand? To me it looks like he has a flaming Molotov but I'm really not sure! I can't wait to see the painted version, which will most likely be just as amazing as the rest.
What do you think?

‘Sapador’ means ‘Sapper’ in Spanish so this guy’s some sort of demolitions/pyrotechnics guy, I think he’s holding some sort of grenade or flaming variant thereof!
Much thanks! I couldn’t really work out what the model was all about lol.

The suffix -dor suggests that he is part of the bullfighting fraternity.
He will be the guy that gets the dangerous job of shoving gunpowder up the bull’s jacksie and setting light to the poor thing’s tail!
That explains the position he’s in.
