The Winged Hussars Race into Pike & Shotte with Warlord
October 8, 2012 by brennon
If you're looking for something a little different in your Pike & Shotte games then check out these Polish Winged Hussars from Warlord Games ready to sweep in and chase off the enemy with their devastating charge...
The Polish Winged Hussars were a sight to behold on the battlefield. With their original wooden wings and flowing pennants from every lance they were certainly a force you wouldn't forget in a hurry.
As well as the lance, the Hussars had access to pistols and swords for close combat fighting. While they might be the flower of Polish chivalry that doesn't stop them being a devastating force on the battlefield.
This is a great set of eight metal miniatures that is something a little different from the norm. It's certainly a bit of a change from the general Pike & Shotte miniatures you might see, especially those kill joy Round Heads!
What do you think of these Winged Hussars?

Kislev cough cough.
Love the way the flags flow, looks like they are really moving.
I will most likely get as a fun painting project.
Those wings again… Other then that they look good, bu I would like to see better pictures.
Ooh, nice! the set apparently includes steel lances, which is good because sourcing metal rods for historical minis was always putting me off a bit, while white metal lances would inevitably bend or break. Now if you excuse me, looking at the models gave me a sudden urge to ride down some pagan dogs from the east in a fabulous manner.
