Victrix Preview Mighty Hordes Of Classical Greeks
December 5, 2013 by brennon
Victrix have been making some brilliant looking Greeks for a while now. Thebans, Spartans, Athenians, and Mercenaries have all taken to the field but now the Peltasts & Unarmoured Hoplites are making up the ranks.
As you can see, you're going to get a massive amount of variants for both sets. The Peltasts have access to slings and bows while the Hoplites will be swinging swords and stabbing spears.
The Victrix sets have been used with plenty of different Ancient History wargames and would be superb for bolstering a large army, or starting one out from scratch.
I'm sure with the recent trailer for 300 some of you might be inspired to start a Greek army.
What do you think?

With these and some of the other magnificent Victrix minis and a set of rules like Hail Caesar, one could re-enact the historical battles in Greece as opposed to watching movies of dubious historical provenance… 🙂
What’s not to like?
Only the fact that everytime I’m certain where my war gaming adventures are going, someone produces something like this and I’m wanting to head off in a new direction.
