Tercio Creativo Turn to Indigogo for Rulebook Launch
July 3, 2012 by brennon
One of the questions we always get when posting news from Tercio Creativo is "where are the English rules?" Well, the company who developed this alternative history of Spain on the tabletop are now turning to you to make this a possibility with the 1650 Indiegogo Campaign...
The campaign will fund not only a Spanish copy, but an English copy of the rules. As well as this new models, terrain pieces and even a new faction could be on the way depending on how their funding goes. Let's take a look at some of their exquisite models...
So will you join the battle for Spain in 1650? Both the Old Regime and the New Order are looking for willing fighters and rogues to sway the leadership of the country. This could be a pretty fantastic skirmish game to see hit English shores, and it helps that the models are brilliant.
Will you be pledging?

@sergus – I wish you’d set up a US bank account so you could benefit from the coverage of Kickstarter, but I wish you guys every success with this as the models you make are top notch. 🙂
One question though…I don’t see a time limit to your campaign, does that mean you can run it until you have enough money?
Isn’t paypal enough? I mean, it’s a worlwide bank, isn’t it?
It’s for 59 days, but I don’t know where did it go. This web is too complex for me XD
I meant that using Kickstarter would get you more publicity, but you remind me of another point – Paypal has had issues in the past and people who might want to contribute could be put off by its use. Still I hope this works out.
Can we make it in two webs at same time? o_0
From the look of the models I just know your going to blow this indigogo out of the water! All the best to the hard working team over at Tercio Creativo.
Thanks ;]
Well I think the Tercio’s miniatures speak for themselves, so not much point in telling how awesome they are. As for the rules, the parts that have been translated into English, I like them. The line-of-sight and the miniature facing using hex base sides or ‘sectors’ seems a bit battletechy, but there is quite a lot tactical gameplay involved. Actually 1650 feels quite like the combat rules of an roleplaying game which have been translate to tabletop. What I most like about the rulebook that it is consistent feel and atmosphere. All the minis are painted to same standard and… Read more »
Yes, definitely pledging! These minis and the universe are fantastic!
I also wonder about the timeline, is it an infinite campaign?
No, no, it is 59 days campaing. Now it’s edited. Somehow it didn’t appears in page when it was updated as “time line”, but it did when we updated it as “date”.
The models are obviously gorgeous, and from what I read of the rules they seem both well thought out and intuitive (In fact, I stopped designing my own game because so many of the same ideas and rules I had TC had already implemented!). I wish you guys used kickstarter!
😀
I think we’re late for changing to Kickstarter, we GOT THE FIRST THOUSAND! ;]
