Start Your Arthurian Round Table With Musketeer

If you haven't had your fill of Dark Age material this week then check out these superb looking Arthurian Heroes from Musketeer Miniatures. From left to right you have Galahad, Gawain, Tristan and Bors all done in a historical rather than classical style.
These are fantastic looking heroes that have been done in a style characteristic of their Romano-British heritage. I remember watching the film King Arthur (the directors cut rather than the theatrical one) and loving this Dark Age style to the Arthurian legends.
Also helped that a lot of Time Team episodes (sadly gone from television now) were about this period.
A perfect start to your round table!
I like my Arthurian fantasy set later as in the Chretien de Troyes era.
Galahad was a later addition to the Roundtable and should not be in a historical setting! lol
iirc He appears in the French Vulgate Cycle in the 14th century.
Am a tad rusty.
Heroic scale goes against them for me too, but overall they look nicely done.
Hey where is Perceval the REAL Graal hero? lol
I do prefer the romantic, high medieval Arthur to the historically interpreted one. Honestly, I’d like to see an Arthur set done with homages to Monty Python and the Holy Grail. Actually, I wouldn’t mind an official Holy Grail range accompanied with a funny set of rules.
