Plastic Soldier Company Bring Us Some Late War Brits
December 16, 2013 by dracs
Since Warren is so keen on getting us all into Flames of War here it's good to see that the Plastic Soldier Company has some new 15mm Brits for when we are fighting the battles of the late war.
For 15mm sculpts these models look really detailed and would make a pretty cool infantry force to show Jerry what's what. I am being increasingly impressed by the quality of 15mm sculpts which are out there and these actually make me more tempted to go out there and try some Flames of War.
144 figures for just 21.50! Oh and plastic too…. yipeeee. I really like the flames of war figures, but at 15mm I think cost is more important as detailmis not really needed when you give them the 3ft test. But with the Flames of war starter set being such good value, would you need more british infantry? Would make for a good diorama though.
The Allied tanks in Open Fire are British but the infantry are American.
yahoo hi can now start doing my 53rd-Welsh-Division
now that my 2-and-Lehr-Panzerdivison is all done now 🙂
For the size and quantity this looks super. Its a no brainier for FoW players.
I prefer the PSC figures over the FOW metals any day, though the FOW plastics in Open Fire are pretty good too – the PSC sculpts are more proportionate (no pumpkin heads) and pricing is very, very good too.
DO they come with bases?? Not a huge thing but Ive always wanted to know
The Yank infantry I got from Plastic Soldier Company didn’t have bases, however they’re easy enough to pick up from E-Bay.
I think my Salute 2014 shopping basket is going to be dominated by 15mm, just need to paint everything I have already by next April :/
These look awesome !
That is a complete British rifle company , plus spare minatures for command and observers , for support machine guns and mortars etc!All for £21.50!
I hope the PSC British heavy weapons box will be just as good!
Mr Townsend just made my Christmas!
A quick look at the photos shows a desirable chunkiness/exaggeration of features… this makes for sturdier miniatures for gameplay, and makes it easier to get great results in painting… the details literally stand out!!! I prefer metal to plastic, though it is merely a preference….I have British soldiers from the Battlefront line including the very chunky generic E/M/L (now referred to as the “Italy”) British….as well as some of the newer, various. Late-War British and Commonwealth soldiers. The airborne troops are outstanding… being stateside, I got great discounts…since my countrymen are less cognizant of British/Commonwealth history. I started with Old… Read more »
