Shoot Napoleon in the balls… sorry with cannonballs!

It's not often I get excited about a Napoleonic release, but when I looked at the 3-up masters of these, my steampunk gland started to throb!
Every good steampunk game needs some snappy looking soldiers and some of these guys would look brilliant painted in a black, gold and white paint scheme.
However, then I'd be left with some cannon and artillery crew. Of course if I knew any historical gamers, I could easily get rid of them, but they seem few and far between around here.
Anyone know any good historical gaming groups?

I’m a huge fan of Victrix, their plastics are great and super value too.
We have some Napoleonic stuff in the planning for a big Historical Week type thing, if any of you historical players have some requests and or suggestions why not post below to get the discussion started 🙂
Was sketching a military type last night with such a thought in mind,
Starting to see a potential Steampunk Zombie Army troop! eek!
The carriage could be used for steampunky equipment and the barrels used for Dwarf artillery.
This does look a good set. Nicely sculpted as far as one can see with plenty of options and artillery rules included too.
I had an idea for a russian campaign or a crimean war scenario for CoC with zombies… But no player of mine wanted to play that era, and no one wanted to play a pretty much all-military group… So much for that.
Victrix are great! The sheer number of models you get in a box is staggering 50-60 infantry for under £20 is superb and the detail is nice and crisp only downside I have to say is painting tartan on 60+ highland infantry tested my sanity. If anyone has any advice or knows an easier way to do this Id be very keen to hear. Id like to see some pike and shotte coverage, theres an increasing range of models coming out but its one historical era that seems to slip under the radar a fair bit
Guess you could try and print the relevant tartan design on decal paper.
Only problem could be white but if that was left clear and the base was painted white it might work.
Thats an interesting idea and one I hadnt actually thought of. that way I could just paint a large area of tartan then cut it to size. Ill definitely have to look into it. Thanks 🙂
This box looks good.
I hope there will be soon something similar for the French.
Nice guns witha variety of barrels shame there are no limbers and horses maybe that is to come
