Studio Tomahawk's Alex Bushel, the brains behind SAGA the dark ages era skirmish game, has come out with a new rule set for skirmishing in 18th century America. It's time to grab your Muskets and Tomahawks.

So far we're unsure on what the mechanics of the game is like, although the rule book does come with a set of cards for use in the game. Possibly it may be similar to SAGA's game play, or maybe its something completely different to allow for the new technology which would be available to some factions. Either way this is definitely a game to look out for.

It might also provide you with another game in which to use Gripping Beast's Skraeling miniatures for SAGA.

Unfortunately the Studio Tomahawk webpage for the game is yet to be translated into English, although that should be appearing soon. In the meantime you can pick this up from their collaborators over at Gripping Beast.

Are any of you interested in this period of history? How do you think the rules will compare to those of SAGA?
