Join Warlord Games in the Battle for Pegasus Bridge
August 29, 2013 by dracs
Warlord Games are about to release a new Bolt Action Box Set to help get you guys playing one of the crucial conflicts of the Invasion of Normandy. The battle for Pegasus Bridge.
This conflict saw British Paratroopers try to take the German held Pegasus Bridge in Normandy in order to prevent the Germans bringing armoured forces across, which could prove disastrous for the D-Day landings' eastern flank on Sword Beach.
This box set should prove to be an excellent starting point for anyone looking to get into Bolt Action and comes with resin scenery and an wooden MDF set of the famous bridge itself.
Who would you choose to command? The assaulting British, or the defending Germans?
Well, that kind of ups the ante on the cardstock terrain we’re seeing in other starter sets. I would imagine the price is higher as well. Their Normandy starter set is like $92, and that has a few resin terrain pieces in it.
Still a good bargain, and great deal for anyone interested, but I don’t think Warlord is aiming at the “new to wargaming” crowd so much as they are the “wargamer who hasn’t played Bolt Action yet” crowd.
Damn it, thats me you are describing. And there was I thinking I could get away with buying juwt a box of paratroopers.. drat.
I saw this in a video someone took on the Warlords open day, looked well nice, something I would like to get.
There are some pics of the bridge itself here:

It’s MASSIVE!
Wow. That is an awesome terrain piece. I’m really curious about the price now.
I think it’s going to be fairly expensive, along the lines of their Horns of the Buffalo/Zulu set. Bridge looks awesome though, can’t wait to see what you actually get in the box in tomorrow. Pegasus bridge is what I dreamed of playing when I got into Bolt Action so I think I’ll be taking the plunge.
Very tempting
Makes me want to watch The Longest Day again. Is there a link for more details?
