Once again fantastic video John and thanks for sharing it to us. I know what you mean when you said it was a great experience to be there, I went there last year and toured the whole area like you. For me I always wanted to see Pegasus Bridge as I had read a lot about it in the past. But what I found to be the most moving aspect was when we visited Omaha Beach and Point du Hoc. We went to Omaha early in the morning when the tied was out and walked down to the water front,… Read more »
Powerful stuff, John. Thanks very much.
John, thank you very much.
I’m also a big fan of WW2 history (although obviously not as big as you are) but I live half-way across the world. My wife never liked history, and so my chances to visit these places you visit is very close to zero. Your videos, however, gave me the next best thing and showed me a glimpse of how is it like to visit them.
So, once again, thank you.
What an end to a great tour, brings tears to your eyes, very moving. Thanks John.
I can’t help but hear Frank Carson when John says “that’s a crater” …….
Great vids btw
Amazing stuff John, thanks for sharing it.
The Dakotas may not have dropped their cargo but the flypast looked an incredible sight. My wife keeps saying to me that I should go over there one day so maybe I will now
Again just simply amazing. I had the hairs on my neck standing up thru half the video, especially at the end. The stories, the obstacles, the sacrifices and the heartship, it is good that things like that are not forgotten.
Thanks John for a great video tour. I really enjoyed it.
Fantastic stuff. Kudos to BOW with special thanks to John.
Many thanks for these very powerful & thought provoking videos John.
As a WWII historic gamer, I’ve thoroughly enjoyed them and at times found them very enlightening.
Once again, many thanks for sharing your experience of the trip with us.
That was a great series of videos, thanks for sharing them John. 🙂
Many thanks, an excellent series
Loved the video I think (Saving Private Ryan) did an homage with the 88 mm gun emplacement after the landings
