Heroines of the Hinterland

Hinterland Miniatures is a great little miniatures company from North America who specialise in a line of 28mm female hussars... but allow me to let Jason, from Hinterland, explain it a bit better...

On 22 October 1909 Princess Viktoria-Luise of Germany received her commission as Colonel-in-Chief in the 2nd Leib Hussaren regiment.  The 28mm-scaled miniatures available on this site are intended to represent a fictitious unit of female Hussars, serving at the end of the 19th Century, up to World War I.  Although these miniatures wear the famous Death's Head Hussar insignia on the busby, they could be painted to represent a variety of Hussar regiments.

Now, those who read my articles on BoW will know that I have a penchant for all things steampunk and Victorian. These miniatures, might fall a little outside that historically, but they certainly fit with the overall feel of the steampunk genre.

Anyway... on to the pictures... here's the new releases from Hinterland Miniatures (this is breaking news after all). However, below are some stills of the stuff I really like... enjoy!

I'm really taken by these. I think I might proxy them for some Khadoran Riflemen... sorry Rifle-Ladies... for Warmachine, or if that doesn't interest you. Perhaps with a bit of conversion work, they would make a really unique Imperial Guard unit.

What do you think guys?
