Great to see Rick still cracking on, he’s one of the first people that comes to mind when I thing of wargames developers
Anyone tried this? Is it the same as WAB 2.0?
Oh man, when will you guys show us more of this game? Historical really has a chance to grab some players from the (dying?) 8th edition WFB.
I’m working on my Roman army right now, and I’m going to be ordering my copy of this any day now. I’m excited to try it out
Rick is nice. He has nice face! In all seriousness, im starting to get interested in historical wargaming after making the decision to leave GW behind after my CSM is done and miniature ranges from Warlord, Perry etc are terrific. I prefer classic greek to roman period tho (SPARTA!) and would be keen to hear if the rules could be adapted to any time period or specifically roman empire only.
Also, keep up the good work BOW Andy! U iz me video host now! Andy & Jon BOW DREAM TEAM (Plus Daryl & Warren for the top comedy value!).
HC covers everything from biblical times through to medieval battles so Spartans are perfect. If you were inclined to you could see if your Spartans were as good as Henry V at Agincourt…..if you really wanted.
That’s what I’m wondering about too, Im looking to use Perys “war of the roses” platic range for medieval battles. But this might just be for the Romans, only read WAB 1.0 rulebook but that game is basically WFB a few years ago, whole charging thing and “clipping” issues around. Have’t read WAB 2.0 thou I hear that it’s basically the same? they just tried to get people to use wider formations (as I think this was the case in those days) instead of deapth.
Talking of comedy value was look at Salute vid on RHQ TV site, Warren interviewed by Andrew from rankings hq whilst at Salute and Andrew seemed to have no idea he had was in the presence of a wargaming Internet tv celebrity! Could not stop laughing. it’s all about the women and the tearing LoL
Did Rick also play drums for Gentle Giant?
