The guys are back for part two of their final epic battle. Warren brings in the rest of his forces but will Dave be able to turn the tide of battle in his favour?
Just a little note as well chaps as we had a bit of a snafu with one of the cameras in this video so we had to switch up the audio for part of this vid!
The Dice Gods have deserted you Warren. Pretty much how it goes for me I tend to get all my bad luck in big lumps, then I’m back to throwing an embarrassing amount of 6s in no time.
I was let of on this one I think
But I will take that and the ending any day 😀
because cliff hangers are horrible
Cant wait to watch this. Going to watch this in the morning. Its been too long since part one.
Excellent video. Dave just might pull this off, but it does seem like the allied forces are a bit out gunned given all the times that Dave did not get to make an armor save.
Another classic battle… how cruel can those dice be? But those are the fortunes of war.
Warren’s 88’s are not having a good day 🙂
A very enjoyable hour on a Friday evening.
Its nice to see Warren roll bad once in a while… I was beginning to think all his great rolls in the past were CGI! Now to wait to see how it all wraps up!
“Its nice to see Warren roll bad once in a while”
lol – Thanks for that! 😉
No offence Warren… its just I’m usually on the losing end of good rolls so I like to see others suffer with me! 🙂
I once rolled so many 1’s in a tournament that my opponents felt bad for me and voted me best sportsman; so something can come out of bad rolls – just not wins!
Great video even with losing the main video footage, the hand held camcorders gave a great view of the battle field.
I love the photo still for the video on this, dave’s facial expression made me snort my tea.
Interesting battle all right. There was a serious bottle neck forming around the town. Maneuverability was difficult. Makes the game interesting but sometimes it can kill it. All about getting the balance right I guess
Good game, fun to watch 🙂
ok. ~I said I was going to watch this in the morning but I could not wait. Cracking video. Great game. Scattered reserves are a pain. Also why are planes so hard to get in. Im sure that in ww2 they were far more effective. I hope its not going to be long till part 3 gets here. Shame the cam packed up. It didnt detract from the show. well done guys.
Great battles. Glad to see these videos. Looking forward to the new year and new forces. Don’t forget guys that the new Italy books are coming out 8th of March and should have some fun new lists for you two to play out!
Here’s a thought – create a campaign where the large engagements are fought using FOW, and then small scale actions are fought using Bolt Action.
You could even throw some Weird War 2/DUST type stuff into the mix as well 🙂
Cool video guys, good example of what aircraft can do or mainly not do (in this case :)).
Looking forward to the next thrilling instalment (like the old Flash Gordon serials cliffhanger).
Damnit. This really makes me want to FoW. I’ll bury myself in these Bolt Action Brits to calm the shiny syndrome.
Gah, another wait! Great video guys, despite the technical hiccup 😉 My experience seems to match your guys, artillery and air-power do seem to be very difficult to use effectively, so, so many die rolls to make before you even start doing any damage, and even then you have about the same chance as anything else; true enough to real life, but not a good idea in a game, it does make you think that perhaps you are paying TOO many points for the ability to strike unhindered (which is essentially what artillery and planes are, extra ‘reach’ on the… Read more »
Great video. Can’t wait for part 3. On the one hand the waiting will be a bi***, but on the other hand I was hoping for a really epic, long, straight up game between Warren and Dave.
Besides some rule hickeys, which wouldn’t made that big a difference, it’s really enjoyable to watch you guys play and taunting each other.
Oh no……Part 3?…..Can’t wait to see what happens next. Dave, I think you may have a slight advantage, but Warren seems to have you outgunned on the other side of the board.
Great Video. In Turn 4 the King Tiger bogged down. Bogged down vehicles cannot shoot.
Immobile gun teams (88’s) can only move onto the table from reserve up to 4 inches from table edge as they did not have a transport team
The Flak 88’s can not hit the dug in (concealed), gone to ground veteran infantry that are over 16 inches away.
To hit veteran 4, +1 over 16 inches, +1 concealed, +1 gone to ground whilst concealed =
4 + 1 +1 +1 =7 therefore can not hit them
