Heavy Tour Of Duty Support Incoming For Flames Of War
May 20, 2013 by brennon
Tour of Duty is expanding with new models for all factions involved. Check out what's on offer below and what's to come this week. Flames of War is really hotting up in the Vietnamese theatre of war...
First up we have some M109 (155mm) Tanks and a pair of OH6-LOACH that can zoom in for some light air support. While the Vietnam War always seemed like mostly an infantry conflict it's good to know that you've got some big artillery waiting in the back.
Next to that are some vehicles for transporting your men around. The M113 Platoon could easily churn through dense jungle getting men and supplies to where they needed to be. The M577 Command Vehicle does exactly what it says on the tin. It provided a moving fire platform but also helped with communications and a makeshift medical unit if needed.
On the other side of the coin are the PAVN with their massive haul of infantry in the Local Force Company. I'm fairly sure if you wanted to boost your ambush force then this could be the stop for you.
And what would a battlefield be without terrain. Above you can see the Paddy Fields and Vietnamese Huts box sets that will be available at the end of this week. These will be perfect for close knit fighting and also for bogging down those heavy tanks as they rumble forwards.
As you can see it's a pretty good haul!
Their Vietnam range is fleshing out really well. I reckon I’m only an Open Fire-style box set away from jumping in on this.
nice models. The pre-paint terrain is a nice touch.
