The Armies Of Imperial Japan Flood Into Warlord’s Bolt Action

Warlord Games are getting the tail end of the news on Sunday as well as the head. This time it's a trip to Bolt Action where they are unleashing Armies of Imperial Japan along with a whole host of miniatures...
The book does what the other sourcebooks have done in the past. It will be delving into the armies of Japan in more detail and allowing you to field forces with a lot more variety. As well as that you'll have access to theatres of war too.
As well as the book you can draw on new models to bolster your forces. To make up the main force you have Japanese Infantry, thirty of them, and some of them even wield katana!
Next up we have the chunky little Type 3 Chi-Nu Medium Tank. This vehicle was built to deal with the burly Sherman tank of the allies. Of course every good tank needs a crew and Warlord are supplying the Japanese Tank Crew too.
Will you be taking on the Imperial Japanese?
There’s been a lot of people waiting for this. Least of all, those who have Chindits, at last they’ll have someone to fight. 🙂
i wouldn’t get in a type 3 if you payed me it was ment to be the counter to the m4 sherman it had a nice 75mm gun but they forgot one of the key things in tanks armour!
shermans 76mm armour wasn’t cutting it with most late war weapons the type 3 a 1944 -45 tank had between 50mm max and 12mm only 2 mm more the the Bren Gun Carrier
so rember to be very light with the paint brush or you might kill the crew 😛
Tanks were not the Japanese strong point that much is true though they did try to learn from early war Russian tanks. However running away with the notion of just spamming armour against an IJA opponent may be a bit of a mistake 😉
The book is great by the way and seems very comprehensive. I am saving my pennies for the plastic infantry however. Can’t wait for the release.
Anyone know a company that makes like japanese skirmishing infantry with spears or some peasants with spears to make the bamboo spear wielding units in this book?
At last. There’s a sudden rush of variously scaled Japanese releases for WWII gaming. This is always a good thing in my book.
