Warbases Crafts A Fantastic Roman Villa
October 26, 2016 by brennon
Inspired by a binge of Time Team episodes Warbases have crafted an awesome looking Roman Villa terrain set which will be available soon.
The main Villa shown here looks fantastic and comes with plenty of wonderful detail worked into the windows and the doors. However, this is just the main 'hub' for the rest of the building complex.
Larger wings and towers have also been designed for you to set around the main villa. This gives you more areas to fight around when the Celts come a knocking on your door and it adds to the grandeur of the project.
If you're looking to be a bit more secure then you can also pick up the front gate which you see here slotting nicely between the two larger wings of the village.
Optionally you can also check out the portico here with a removable roof meaning that you can get into the porch area and play around there too.
Finally, one of the additional terrain pieces they've been working on which might find itself sitting inside the compound or just outside of it is their Temple.
Now that is a grand structure worth including as some kind of objective piece in-game. It would be fun seeing warriors clambering up onto the low roof and trying to get inside the temple to raid it.
What do you think of their work?

In addition to being sacked by Celts, this’d look good as a ludo for a Spartacus style gladiator uprising.
That is amazing and Warbases are wonderful company to buy from, excellent service
Absolutely fantastic 😎
SHWING!!! (thats the sound of my gladius by the way 😉 )
That will make a great centre piece in the forthcoming Saga release
How about a bit of Hadrian’s Wall or a mile castle or a watchtower after this one?
I’m hooked. And thinking of all the Victrix EIRs I’m gonna buy next year 😎
looks brilliant.
I was looking at the prototypes at FIASCO and talking to Martin about them (and a church) and trying not to drool too much.
I am definitely going to get a villa complex to use for my Romano-British force for Dux Britaniarum, probably a temple or church as well.
Warbases go from strength to strength.
