War Banner Turn Their Attention To Ancient Greece
August 3, 2018 by brennon
War Banner may have just released their range of Samurai but they are now looking towards Ancient History and what seems to be a selection of Ancient Greeks!
As far as projects go this is a neat teaser of what awaits. One would assume that these are going to be a set of casualties for use in your Ancient games and could very well be dying Spartans from the Battle of Thermopylae.
I can't wait to see what else Stavros Zouliatis (the sculptor behind this project) brings to life and hopefully we see War Banner look towards other Ancient periods as well!
What would you like to see them focus in on?

they look great.
well I am shocked and impressed, always love to see some Greek action and @lloyd should pay attention now that he has decided to get stuck into the greeks himself 😉
‘he has decided to get stuck into the greeks himself’
Never thought @Lloyd would want to be involved with the Theban Sacred band
oh he’s a massive fan of them, he is the Epaminondas to my Pelopidas
Are you waiting for SAGA to bring out a Greek supplement?
it would be nice, but I won’t expect it anytime soon. Still waiting on a scenario and terrain book to replace the 1st editions we’re having to still use.
Kings of war then?
that’s what mine will be used for, not sure if Lloyd has the same plan yet though, I’ll find out on Sunday
Basic Impetus would be my choice small armies and big bases
@avernos @torrs, both for me. Going to do 1p bases again so i can rank them up 🙂
Yup. Great believer in making sure your figures can be used for multiple systems
lol – things didn’t turn out to well for them.
I’m thinking Athens.
are you thinking Athens because you enjoy floating ships?
spunktastic!!!
Excellent sculpts. These minis would make some nice decorative pieces for my mixed Greek army of Foundry and Warlord minis.
Your right Brennon about Thermopylae, these minis would be just right for anyone wanting to make a diorama of the last stand.
War Banner also make some superb ancient roman buildings for their gangs of war game, I would certainly recommend them.
