Victrix Don The Heavy Armour With New Samnite Plastic Kits
October 18, 2015 by brennon
Victix have completed more digital sculpting for their upcoming Samnite range. This time they have some of the Armoured Samnites to show off complete with heavy breastplates and some rather ornate looking helmets...
As with the previous news piece we did on the Samnites the Victrix crew are trying to include all of the parts for the regular infantry models and those in the command portion of the regiment on one sprue. This should cut down on production time and allow them to bring out more models.
Work now begins on some Macedonian Pikemen. There will be a set for the age of Alexander and Philip and then another for successor Pikemen within this Ancient nation. Ancient Romans and Greeks should beware.
They have also hinted at Ancient Persians on the horizon as well so if you have an army of Xerxes in mind you might be getting lucky soon.
What do you think?

They look nice . The Social Wars is an interesting period of Roman history
God I’m loving Victrix at the minute, French Artillery for Naps, loads of awesome stuff for ancients, absolutely loving it 🙂
me too, but my wallet is wincing!
Those look really promising.
Ancient battles are not really a period that interest me, but as more armies that have a distinct look become available in plastic, I can really see it taking off. Looking forward to seeing what the Persians look like.
Those Samnites are an instant buy!
Thumbs up Victrix 😎
