A First Preview Of Gallic Infantry Appear From Victrix
December 2, 2016 by brennon
Victrix are turning their eyes from the Roman Legions and instead they have looked towards the forests and sent scouts to find out what Gallic Warriors are amassing to fight the might of Rome.
These wild warriors, probably covered in a splattering of woad on occasion, are looking awesome. Armed with a well-made sword and shield this fellow is no doubt a champion of their tribe.
This is an awesome looking model marking the first proper foray into the Gallic tribes for Victrix as part of this new range. The Early Romans are going to have some tough opposition it seems.
What do you think?

Thank goodness he has pants on! You can’t always be sure of that with the celts…
He looks great! 😀
This will really complement the Victrix line well, looking forward to seeing more renders.
This is great news. I’m not sure that the current plastic offerings are up to the standard of the metal castings on the market. Although I have used nearly every range available to build my Celtic force I’m not sure any manufacturer has really captured Celtic warriors well. I have high hopes for Victrix who always do beautiful models. I’m happy to have trouser-less options in the box so I can flesh out my gaesatae.
They will do a naked set as well according to their FB page.
He seemed to have jumped straight out of a Peter Connolly book..beautifully rendered.
@lloyd
This is the range to watch, tell ya 😎
I wonder if they’re going to do Asterix and Obelix …
