Wargame’s Illustrated Invade With Alexander The Great
February 23, 2018 by brennon
Wargames Illustrated showed off their upcoming Giants In Miniature figure, Alexander The Great.
This rather heroic looking version of the legendary commander and empire builder is looking rather awesome and the perfect model to take your armies into battle alongside.
You can actually show off your own painting on this range of miniatures over on their Facebook Page and maybe win yourself a master version of this heroic individual.
What do you think?

Just so long as it doesn’t have an Irish accent 😉
I thought that type of sword he’s holding was from India.
Alexander reached India, so perhaps it’s a deliberate choice to acknowledge that.
Sword is a kopis. It was a slashing sword used by cavalry.
I swear it looks like a Kukri (or Khukuri) to me.
And I know Alexander reached India, but my (admittedly limited) understanding of history was that he was beaten there. Hard. So hard he had to retreat back to Babylon where he died, possibly from battle wounds.

It would probably look better if the sword were slightly longer.
Alexander was only 32 when he died. This fellow looks a lot older.
I would imagine building one of the largest empires known to western history ages a man.
Reminds me a bit of Julius Ceaser from Astrix
Legendary personality and one of the greatest leaders of all time without further ado. I recommend you click to read a useful and very informative collection of analytical materials about Alexander The Great, everything is short and interesting, you will remember a lot for a long time, the main thing is the desire to study.
