Early Imperial Roman Centurions March Out Of Victrix Soon
July 19, 2016 by brennon
Victrix continue to show off what's coming for the Imperial Romans. Here we have another look at their Centurions ready to march into battle.
Here you can see a variety of different poses for the Champion leading the unit. As well as some ordering the troops forward we have others telling them to hold and ready themselves for an oncoming attack.
Additionally here are some of the regular Romans.
Armed with Pilum and Gladius by their sides they are looking grim and ready for battle.
Are you going to be snapping these up when they finally get released?

Beautiful miniatures. Very detailed with good proportions, something that is lacking in warlords Roman range.
I wonder if the Warlord heads would fit well on these figures?
I really like the Praetorian and Veteran heads from Warlord
I hope they do Roman marines 🙂
Those will be proper 28mm compared to Warlord’s smaller 25mm. Head swap might be still possible tho, we will see. Planned are two sets of legionaries (skirmishing and marching/ standing at ease), praetorians and Auxilia. Don’t think marines are on the horizon but surely you can convert some very easily with this amount of plastic figures to choose from.. The keen observer will have noticed the now slightly enlarged and therefore historically more scuta. Glad to see Victrix listens..well done! I’m *really* looking forward to the release of them later this year (I know I keep repeating myself here..). @lloyd… Read more »
Aye that’s right, I think Trajan’s Column depicted shields that were too small (?) and many miniature designers followed the fashion
maybe (Greek) leather breastplates and (Gaul-type) copper-bowl helmets for marines – hexagonal shields
@bennon
‘Champion’…lol. This is a sign mate, too much GW! 😉
‘Centurion’ is the word you’ve been thinking of..
they look static with enough variation 🙂 understated 🙂
They look great. Will they have shield design transfers?
@urbanfox
Not included in the box as Steve from Victrix also owns LBMS and wants people to but his stuff.. 😉
But boy, his transfers are worth every penny!!!
Macro & Cato would be proud
