Ancient British War Chariot Rides Into View From Victrix
April 27, 2018 by deltagamegirl22
There's just something epic about the sight of a chariot riding into battle, and Victrix Limited is showing off an amazing example of just that!
The Ancient British War Chariot is a 28mm set that is absolutely dripping with details. This is one of those pieces that you really want to see in 360 degrees.
First of all, I love that it's a dynamic pose - horses in stride, the hair in the wind and the sword in the air for the charge.
But then you have to appreciate all the other details - like the lattice work on the chariot and how about the trophy heads dangling off the side! If that doesn't strike fear into the hearts of your enemies, I don't know what will!
What do you think of the latest from Victrix?

Is it intended to be a generic chariot, or to be Boudicca herself?
I believe the set still needs to be finalised but I think they were expecting it to be a couple of chariots, with options for both the driver and charioteer, including Boudicca & a druid.
If this is the follow on from an earlier news article, it will be for Boudica herself. You’d simply swap her out for a Warrior if you wanted a ” normal ” Chariot, unless they’re bringing out ( or already have ) the more generic War Chariots ?
Looks great may fit in to early Roman army’s?
I´m quite sure if I started ancient war-gaming and choosing Brits, Celts and Romans as factions and the appropriate time period I´d look for pieces like that for centre-pieces of my collection.
Not being a good painter myself I can nevertheless imagine this model is nice for putting your painting skills to the test. Boudicca´s hair alone will be a pleasure to do.
Awesome 😎
Can’t wait to paint one!
