Agema Miniatures Reinvent Their Mighty War Elephant
May 24, 2019 by brennon
If you're getting into some Ancient wargaming then you might want to take a peek at Agema Miniatures and their collection of Roman and Carthaginian models. One of them, in particular, has been reinvented and reworked, their War Elephant With Tower.
The elephant has been changed so that it's now one large resin piece. It also comes with a metal tower, rider and crew which will fire down on their fleeing foes.
Scaled to 28mm this will give you some hefty Ancient tanks to throw into the mix when you next want to invade the Roman Empire. The Carthaginian campaign under Hannibal was an impressive one and would be fun to play out on the tabletop.
Maybe you'll find out just how dangerous elephants could be to your own side, never mind the enemy!
What do you think of their new War Elephant?

What a cutie, let’s get it some peanuts!
Looks a bit… small…
The Carthaginians used the North African ( now extinct) which was a lot smaller than other African elephants being only about 2.5 meters tall
They look a lot like the victrix ones (bell, red carpet) and a lot better than the warlord ones. Too bad it looks like it’s mono pose.
I put the picture of these up the other day on the OTT historical chat and @avernos is right that the Aventine ones are better
Have you seen, Hercules, their 10th Anniversary elephant? It is gorgeous.
Just went to look at Hercules. Yup your right it’s gorgeous
That looks really good.
That is bloody lovely!
Great models.
