Heavy Gear Assault From Stompy Bot Hits Kickstarter!
May 21, 2013 by brennon
We had news of the May releases for Heavy Gear Blitz yesterday from Dream Pod 9 and now it looks like Stompy Bot have taken Heavy Gear Assault to Kickstarter, hoping to fund their new Free 2 Play video game!
Above you can see some of the artwork for the game alongside some footage taken from the game as it stands. The battle damage on the Gears looks pretty cool and I like that they have kept to the aesthetic design Dream Pod 9 have followed.
The company are looking to fund this new project in the hopes of creating the next generation of Heavy Gear games, drawing on resources and people from the intellectual properties past.
It could be a lot of fun playing with big robots in a massive arena, heck what am I saying, it WILL be fun! Check out the Kickstarter and the video above for more information.
What do you think?

I recall some years ago that they had a TV show about arena fighting. This looks to have a good amount of detail.
I do prefer being part of war like in old Heavy Gear PC games but this could be interesting.
Hopefully this will get funded. We need a new Heavy Gear video game, even if the older ones are just fine still.
well they just announced a single player mode and all new info can be found here
