A Saxon Invasion In Hail Caesar From Warlord Games
December 9, 2017 by thisisazrael
Warlord Games have released a ton of Saxon miniatures for Hail Caesar including notable kings and leaders from famous battles.
First up from the 9th century you have a new Saxon king with a singular goal in sight, securing his kingdom!
Next up, leading his people, the 11th century Saxon King will show any enemies that he is a threat to contend with, and alongside him, his Earl ready to fight by the King's side and protect his people.
We then have a set for the bloody Battle of Stamford Bridge showcasing some famous historical figures from not just the battle itself but the conflicts that happened in the build-up to it.
We also got some grizzled heroes and leaders of the Battle of Hastings.
Finally, we have the personal retinue of the King, the Huscarls armed with spears and a mix of round and kite shields.
All the models are 28mm and made from metal.
A pretty fantastic Saxon range for Hail Caesar from Warlord here and something I think Lloyd will have on the Saga tabletop in no time.
What do you think of these Saxons?

Oh my those are nice. (Something something no more Dark Age minis something grumble.)
Oh the shiny.
Saxon miniatures release saxon miniatures shock 🙂 I do love his sculpts and glad to see warlord taking up the dull stuff to let him get on with the proper job of knocking out minis. Some really nice characters there
nice nice.
Very nice, I hope they continue to produce this level of miniature for other forces of the period.

Those are really nice.
There’s something a really like about these sculpts from Warlord (previously Saxon Miniatures) but can’t quite put my finger on it and I’ve been looking at the Normans too.
