The Cabal Of The Onyx Cliffs Comes To Golem Arcana
June 25, 2015 by brennon
Harebrained Schemes have been showing off another of the new sets coming to Golem Arcana with the Cabal of the Onyx Cliffs. See what you think of these towering beasts...
Deadly Golems
You get three Golems in this set which are the Relentless Brute, Marrow Witch and the Crypt Tick...
"The Relentless Brute keeps up a near unstoppable assault, as each hit the Golem lands reduces the Cooldown of all of its attack abilities by 1. The Brute will likely run out of AP on its turn before it runs out of attacks still at their base AP costs!"
"The Marrow Witch inflicts her enemies with a Surging Hex, causing 5 Damage the next Round, 10 Damage the Round after that, and finally 15 damage on the third Round."
"The Crypt Tick is a surprisingly difficult adversary to kill, flying forward to hold key positions on the battlefield. Using Leeching Stab, the Tick sinks its razor-sharp ventral fangs into its prey and restores itself to full health!"
I'm quite a fan of these skeletal looking Golems and I think the design is very good, especially on the Marrow Witch. Of course the quality of the painting isn't 'great' but it's not bad considering some of the pre-paints that you see out there.
Will you be picking this set up?

Those look interesting
Does anybody have experience with repainting the models? I’ve had the chance to try the game at Essen Games Fair last year and I really like it. However, the low quality of the paint jobs put me off and I wasn’t sure whether repainting would be possible or whether it would obscure too much detail.
I was very enthusiastic about this game, then I saw the price per model.
Well, to be fair, you only need 2-5 models per side. The models are rather big and they come pre-painted (if rather shittily). Also, they also include the, for lack of a better term, DLC to use them in the app.
