New Lord Of Change Arrives In The Mortal Realms For Age Of Sigmar
January 9, 2017 by brennon
The Warhammer Community website posted up a look at the new Lord of Change miniature, which is an absolute beast, for use in your games of Age of Sigmar. Mystical energies are seeping out of Games Workshop it seems!
This is a distinct upgrade over the last metal design and will most likely fit together a lot easier too. I'm a big fan of the design head and neck; it's neat to see it with a leaner and less cartoony look. The wings are also incredibly impressive, as is the staff clutched in his hands.
The Lord of Change comes out alongside the new Disciples Of Tzeentch Battletome which will allow you to bring forth the ever-scheming forces of this God.
Those of you familiar with Silver Tower are going to find that you're seeing some familiar faces including the Gaunt Summoner, Ogroid Thaumaturge and the backbone of the force, the Karic Acolytes.
If you want a look at how they're shaping up as a force you can read more about them in the latest White Dwarf.
Will you be collecting a Tzeentchian force?

I think this guy is really awesome
Too busy… again.
with my crappy painting skills I’m sure to take the pazazz out of it in no time haha
I guess it helps hide the rather static pose …
At least I’m not sure what else to call it, but I don’t feel threatened by this monstrosity.
Looks freakin’ awesome, can’t wait to see more of it, one thing that wasn’t mentioned in the article here (that was on warhammer community site), it’s a dual kit, you can make Kairos Fateweaver as well from this (out of the box)
Dual kit for Kairos? My oh my thats good!
I’ve read elsewhere (and it makes sense), that you’ll be able to make Fateweaver as well with this kit.
Honestly, I understand that these big center price models aren’t for everyone, but I generally like them, in addition to seeing what each faction might get. I think they’ve been generally getting better each time.
I’m still holding out though for new Skaven stuff before I dive in to AoS.
wow this guys looking epic, tzeentch is looking really good with the new sculpts.
I think the people who still like GW, the game, or their armies tend to like the new stuff they get and are enthusiastic about.
This is a glorious model. Can’t wait to get it and paint it.
GW just keeps pumping out minis of a quality that few can match. Not in the quantity they make them in anyways.
there is a birds neck that is crying out to be wrung!
This might be a foul Chaos spawn that needs to be cleansed in holy fire. Its still an fantastic model. For there is nothing mini about it. I personally do not like AoS but GW can make some of the best models out there. Yes they are expensive but there are few that can come close to their quality of game pieces.
I think this is much better than GW’s recent attempts at big plastic monster kits. The paintjob is excellent too. Two thumbs up from me.
Look at the wee Yellow Horrors running about his base!!
I had a good chance to look at the new Sigmar Stuff on a shopping trip down to GW Dublin. It is just amazing 🙂 🙂
Yay tzeentch
That is a really nice model.
Really nice looking model, with some nice reference to different versions
I’ve always liked the Lord of Change models through the years. Kinda like fancy a Jabberwocky to my eyes. Great centrepiece for an army.
I guess it was time for a Tzeench ? 😉
Admittedly my expectations for this were sky-high, but I’m a little disappointed. There’s something not right about it that (appropriately for Tzeentch) I can’t quite put my finger on.
Lovely model…..the only thing for me is the head. 1: it looks too small and lost on the rest of the miniature. 2: it does have that evil menace of previous versions. I looks and feels too animal…..not like there is an evil scheming mind in it.
Should read: It doesnt
Is it possible that the reason you find the head to look ‘too small’ is because you’re used to and / or prefer heroically scalled heads?
Looks rather nice but little too busy as well,
Of the four Chaos Gods, Surly, Sneaky, Stinky and Sleazy (sorry Squeeky you don’t get a jersey). Sneaky is starting to have more and more appeal. I started out liking Stinky because he was such a happy chap, then I switched to Surly with new bloodthirsters and because juggernauts were cool , but old Sneaky has been playing the long game and may get my Chaos allegiance. Any chaos stuff I’ve done so far has been undivided, but I have long since given up on ever seeing Great Beast Daemon models, (If you are a relic from the dawn of… Read more »
A good model but lacks character or artfulness. Like the older models more. It it advisable to buy them now?
So, this model, like most thing GW, is somewhat polarising. It would be interesting to have the statistics for people who do like the model, compared to those who do not, and what numbers compared to the other group still play GW games / like GW games. I mean, a company nobody ever heard much of, or even a larger one like Wyrd or Privateer could bring out a model. Then an article appears for it on the site, and you don’t get some twenty something odd responses of varying reception compared to a GW one. Not a rant by… Read more »
I like model and don’t play GW games.
GW are the biggest minis company by far, and almost everyone here is a current or former customer. It makes what they do of interest in a way that no other company is if you’re not a customer of theirs. Much like everyone football fan in the country knows who plays for Manchester United, even if you’re not a fan of theirs.
I like him a lot ! An amazing centerpiece.
I like this miniature. I like the scaling and ‘realism’, as well as the posing, which i thought was a little off in the Forgeworld Lord of Change. ( Otherwise i liked the Forge World version. ) It’s a lot better than Games Workshop’s recent previous versions. I’m not keen on the Claire’s Accessories’ style pimping on the wings and perhaps elsewhere, but it’s minimal and i reckon fairly easy to remove.
In fact i’d like to splice this with the Forge World version.
