Forge World Unleash The Bloodthirsty Dragon Vorgaroth The Scarred
October 19, 2018 by brennon
Forge World has finally released their massive Khorne Dragon known as Vorgaroth The Scarred being ridden by Skalok The Skullhost Of Khorne.
Here's more on this monstrous pairing...
Legends tell of the trail of slaughter left behind by Vorgaroth the Scarred and Skalok, the Skull Host of Khorne, their path of destruction having run for millennia, their victims beyond count. Although one would not hesitate to kill the other if given the chance, together they have razed civilisations to the ground. Whenever the mortal armies of Khorne falter, it is Vorgaroth and Skalok that the Blood God sends to turn the tide of battle in his favour.
I freckin' love the look of this Dragon. THIS is what I have in mind when I think of awesome fire-breathing creatures of destruction. I have liked some of the creatures they've created for the Stormcast Eternals but none of them have felt like real Dragons like we have here.
There are, as you might imagine, oodles of detail worked into these miniatures. The rider is a mess of brutal scars and mutations but you wouldn't doubt his axe in combat. Vorgaroth by comparison is a brutal hulking mass of muscle that looks like he really could rip a city down with his teeth and claws.
What do you make of this HUGE Dragon?

That’s a big dragon with a big price point to match.
oh look… skulls.
In fairness, it’s a Khornate Dragon. If anything is going to be covered in skulls it’s this. By GW’s usual standards, it’s actually pretty restrained.
While you are right, I just don’t care anymore.
Seriously, khorne needs to update his design tastes. Variety is the spice of life. Skulls are so last year. We get it… murder… blood… blah.
Show me something new.
That is really good looking dragon. Then again FW has made some of best dragons while GW ones have never really been good. Also I like that this one is really big as he should be. After all he is dragon and dragons are meant to be huge.
a stunning looking Dragon.
it is a beautiful dragon , and is truly lovely. i wn’t be getting it as I am more a Stinky (Nurgle) than a Surly (Khorne) player and even if I was I’d be in two minds as I still dont understand why as an Australian I get charged 100 pounds more for it (before shipping and Australian GST) than UK players.
Sing it brother! The Australia tax from GW has gotten to the point where it isn’t just a financial irritation for me, it is also a moral one — which has made me far less likely to buy from them and generally less engaged with their products.
Looks cool… But yeh $980 here in NZ ?
You Kiwi’s are always whinging about price, you tight arses
Happy to sort shipping if you’d like to buy one from here to have the full experience of the premium GW product we get 😉
sweet jesus that’s a beautiful dragon!
Again, just like the slayer dwarf on his dime store hobby horse, unless that axe is Stormbreaker or the rider Mr. Fantastic, how can he hit anyone, ever?
I do like the throne made of the dragons own body or mutated into the body.
If I was in the market for a dragon that big I would go for the comparable Creature Caster model for a seventh of the price.

It’s nice to see FW put out a quality model after the last few stinkers they’ve released, but FFS, what are they basing their pricing on?
That is a nice dragon, Thanks for showing this one, tempted to get it.
What a bargain
