Games Workshop Painting Tutorial: How To Paint The Khorgorath
July 10, 2015 by brennon
Now for something big and nasty. See what you think of this painting tutorial from Games Workshop for the mighty Khorgorath which features at the centre of the Khorne faction in the Age of Sigmar Starter Set...
Duncan Rhodes shows off a lot of different techniques here for making good looking warped monstrous daemonic skin and of course a lot of bone. I particularly like the way the head is split open with a little skull inside!
Do you like The Khorgorath?

wow GW are churning out these videos. These are good beginner tutorials even if i find duncan a bit annoying and promoting some bad habits…i would really be interested to see @elromanozo tackle some of these mini’s and compare the results.
I would love to hear why you think he’s annoying and what bad habits he promotes.

Oh, but I always buy brushes on the cheap and never had any problems with them nor took much care of them so…
Alos GW supplies his paints also but If you notice his tutorials always have a lot of returning colors in them (Zandri dust, Agrax Earthshade) so very cost efficient for a beginner.
That is your preference to use cheap brushes I guess, but the GW brushes are not cheap and obviously he is promoting the use of them they do not care about these bad habits as it helps them sell more brushes.
Yes that’s pretty much my thinking here.
This is very ugly creature, I don’t mean the design, just the creature represented by the miniature
Yep, that’s a pretty ugly thing (but in a good way).
good video overall. nice and simple.
