Beyond the gates of Antares is usually described as Sci-Fi bolt action which is a fair description of not entirely accurate. Where Bolt action is sooth and easy to play so is BTGOA the issue comes when you have to look up rules references. The rule book is all over the place and when you do find what you are looking for it's still not always clear. The range is lacking and the factions lack real definition and competitive play sees each faction only having one build aside from freeborn. A second is  also sorely needed to fix this issue and once done this game could be the mass Sci-Fi game to beat the "King".

Quite glad they have announced the 2nd ed. Think a lot of new models will be released then. And I think rick mentioned going to streamline it.. I find the armour rules a tad confusing
