I thought of them…. but then again they would be very small… maybe add a master yogurt?

I keep looking at an ice cube tray ” Han in Carbonite ” and wonder if it be ok to use it as a resin casting mold.In my head,i’d cast it and put it on a flight stand ( or two ) so it would look like it was hovering in Empire when Fett took him onboard Slave 1.

It would be if you use some release agent. The ice cube try is pretty much to scale (a bit small perhaps) and I wouldn’t use it for ice cubes afterwards 😉

if the mould is made of silicon, you can cast almost anything in it, choclolate, ice cubes, concrete, resin, hot glue…

It’s made of Silicon,so it’ll be ok for recasts if the original were to be broken in transport or by @warzan style handling ( no offense sir ).Numpty question time, when i go looking for resin casting ” kits “,they would include a release agent ? Or would i have to source that separately ?

    Sold separately

It’s unlikely you’ll get release agent in with the resin kit but silicone is pretty resilient to be honest. I’d probably just give it a light spray of Mr Sheen.

    I have advice.!!!!

Having cast shields and small items look for a resin that is equal parts to mix.

Trying to add 1 tenth of a gram of catalyst to your resin is a pain in the hole.

Or use UV cured resin from Green Stuff World. No catalyst or activator needed.

Still not sure about it for deep pours. But if that was sorted out then it would work. But it’s 4 or 5 times the cost compared to a two part resin.

true. and personally I would use something more like dental plaster or stewalin.
