@brimat we’ve been enjoying it and everyone I’ve introduced it to has bought in. The game is fun and and plays quick enough. I also wrote a review if you’re interested.

Need better lighting for the mat photos, but working on two Armies for Star Wars: Legion atm (would be good to get a game at the shop soon if anyone’s interested).

Wow, nice job on the Storm Troopers – those guys are tough to paint!  And great weathering on the AT-ST.

Some work I have finished recently:

Fenrir from Bad Squiddo Games’ Freyja’s Wrath kickstarter.

For more pictures of the miniatures I have from Freyja’s Wrath kickstarter or from Bad Squiddo Games, please visit my project on Beasts of War here: https://www.beastsofwar.com/project/1207680/

Sherlock Holmes from I still don’t know where. By now he has been named Leonard Holmes Who, don’t ask. Thanks to Gerry (@avernos) here on Beasts of War for giving me the opportunity to paint this mini.

12 days in to the new year and I’ve finished 12 models.  No way am I going to keep up the 1:1 but I hope to keep it close.  First up we have the Sunkeeper for Gloomhaven.  A basic paint job for a simple model from a board game:

    Sunkeeper

Next we have 10 coulmns from Mythic Battles: Pantheon.  An ugly paint job but it likes fine at arms length and they are somewhere between simple terrain and oversized tokens so they don’t deserve having too much time and effort sunk in to them.  I would have preferred I’d they had come out better, but I’m not bothered enough to start again.  They’ll do.

    col final

Now we come to the main attraction, the Orc Warlord v2.0 from 3dartdigital.  I got him, the base and the tufts etc in a Monster box from Asset Drop.  He is an amazing sculpt.  He required no clean up, although I think I noticed maybe 2 small parts I didn’t see until I was near finished painting.  He comes with 2 heads and 2 weapons and enough magnets for everything.  He also came with holes for the magnets too.  An amazing kit to work with.  Heres pictures of him to show off both sets of attachments.

    ORKHAM

That hammer is ridiculous.  It has to break the moment he hits anything with it.  He is also supposed to be 28mm in scale.  He’s twice the size of a space marine, toes to scalp.  I don’t think they know what 28mm scale means.

Hey all!  Long time no see – life got really crazy with moving house, university work, job hunting, and basically all the things.  Finally managed to get a look in on the Internet side of things again, and I’m glad to be back!

Here is one of my current projects – I’m expanding my collection of green paints and trying a vaguely-Link-inspired Pinup Architect.  I’m trying out the Project system as well, so more of the painting process is shown here: https://www.beastsofwar.com/project/1329706/
