So amongst other things Im helping a friend out by building and painting some TTCombat modern terrain for his game “Wild in the Streets” (A 1980s gang fight game)
Heres some of the bits progressed quite a long way, lots of graffiti and gig fly posters every where
You can tell its a real classy neighborhood by the public toilets –
Day 4 of 12 off work. Today I focused on the 3 gods I’ve started. The red, white, flesh and hair are now done and I’ve put down a solid base coat on the gold, which wants 24 hours to dry unfortunately. I’ve also painted the fur on Heracles. Tomorrow I paint the iron on Ares, start work on the 3 heroes, and apply a wash to this gold just before bed. I’ve also washed 30ish models for future projects.
Hmm, think my previous post disappeared. Trying again, some S-boats and torpedo markers for Cruel Seas.

Continuing on with the party. This member is a ghostwise halfling rogue.
Day 5 off and I’ve done everything on the gods except highlight the gold and paint their bases. I’ve started work on the flesh tones for 3 heroes aswell, which also need shighlighting. I’ll likely base them all at the same time.
Todays progress. I painted the bases of the gods while waiting for washes to dry and almost finished the heroes. Just some leather and the arrow flights to paint. Not sure what colout to paint them though. I also highlighted the gold on the Gloomhaven Sunkeeper while I had it mixed up. I expect to start work on a unit tomorrow. I’ve ths Spartans and Amazonians with their red and whites already painted.

Working on my Horus Heresy World Eaters and then i tried some real rust effects on some terrain:
With a flashlight it is very orange. Possible that with a wash it could be toned down.
Added some atomic signs a fluo green and other colours.
The third party member is finished up. This guy was pitched to me as a half-elf face of the group.
I have not posted for a bit. I’m in the middle of a build and base project of a Waffen SS Army Box.
At the same time my son and I are getting into RumbleSlam as it was Christmas gifts to each other. We got our first paint session under the belt.
I’ve applied the flesh base tone and multiple shades today to 2 units and a solo, and finished off the painting on 3 heroes who just need varnish and flock. I hope to finish the units and varnish everyone before the new year to up my total painted for the year to 320. 3 days to go. We will see. A weekender in the morning would help. I don’t know if we are getting one. I suspect not, which seems reasonable I hope for content or its back to bad VHS rips of Mystery Science Theatre 3000 season 4.
Got the first 4 of my Space Marine Heroes set.
Have plenty more to do, but been trying to push myself with my edge highlighting practice!
