My final 3 Deathwing Terminators for Space Hulk/40k are finished and that now completes my Deathwing Terminator squad.

December 10, 2018 at 1:35 am #1312205Just finished these necron wraiths for a mate. Used the airbrush a lot for these as it suits the light sourcing and weathering.
December 10, 2018 at 11:08 am #1312293Despite an awful Christmas related hangover I got some painting done this weekend. making great progress on my Forest Troll from Atlantis Miniatures, even if I didn’t get as much done as I would have liked. Got the mushrooms finished and the leather and wood core. Tonight I hope to start work on the bark. I’ve also made progress on some Deadzone mercenaries while waiting for washes to dry on the fungus. Wrath (The turquoise guy) is done now, all except the base. May as well save time and do all their bases at once when they’re ready.

I feel like Necrons are a great place to use the airbrush and play with OSL. They really lend themselves to it and there’s not far you can go wrong with it. If you don’t somehow mess it up then cleaning it up and starting again isn’t a big chore. I just did some of these as well and was very happy with the results.
December 10, 2018 at 5:41 pm #1312407One more Mars Attacks mini prett much done.
Also started working on Legolas. Can’t remember wich set this one is from, but its one of the old metal ones.
December 11, 2018 at 1:28 am #1312612Dumbledore all finished up.
December 11, 2018 at 3:58 pm #1312826December 11, 2018 at 6:56 pm #1312856I have finished the last stack of crates from the MicroArts Fish Market I recently picked up. It is a fun set to work on with little details all over and special rules for using them in scenarios. As before, there are MANY more pictures on my Project Blog;
December 11, 2018 at 10:19 pm #1312914Continuing with Legolas this evening. Cleaning up things, working on the base, and also doing some freehand work on the quiver
December 11, 2018 at 11:05 pm #1312922Wow, there’s some fantastic work on display here! I looked away for a minute and another batch of cool gets uploaded! Struggling to keep up if I’m honest.
Here’s where I’m at with my downtown DC ruins:~
Managed to get them primed (poundland primer), preshaded (some generic black I’ve got) and the base coat down (Tamiya Royal Light Grey). Dirt and grime next. Everything still flat packs and is robust enough to stand figures on. It’s not perfect, but it’s not bad for version 1 🙂
December 12, 2018 at 2:52 am #1312947Finally finished off the base for my 4G dwarf, I might have gotten a bit carried away as I was putting it together so he’s a little further forward than I would normally do 🙂 I’ll see about updating the project log over here but my first try got punted for some reason.
Also getting on with a set of the new albedo minis. Still wrapping my head around this technique I’m trying to wrestle into my toolbox, step one still doesn’t look anywhere near as desaturated as in the videos but maybe that’s fine given the way I paint (still faster). Although some of that was probably some issues with the paint and the super dry and hot air required to live at this time of year meaning less mixing of colours and more cursing and cleaning off the brush (it’s a good thing crap…er…craft brushes are recommended for the first couple steps due to the abuse).
December 12, 2018 at 3:07 am #1312958@richbuilds Looks good and is flat packable as well? Seems like a victory to me. My big issue with terrain has always been the struggle between having room for either an out of control miniature collection or an out of control terrain collection but not both 🙂 Really like the post-apoc/fallout look, definitely matches the various building husks you’d run into in game.
December 12, 2018 at 5:12 am #1312965Getting some paint on my dwarf warmachine crewman in ready for some battles this coming Sunday.
Let the elves feel the flame, cannon ball and many a crossbow bolt!
December 12, 2018 at 7:58 am #1312985Hagrid and Fang are all finished up. Officially half way done with the Harry Potter project. 25 out of 50 models completed.
December 12, 2018 at 9:10 am #1313021Getting back to my Blood and Plunder army. Lanceros for my Spanish. I wasn’t going to gore up the spearhead, but with so little colour in the scheme I wanted the blood spatter on the clothing to add a contrasting colour.
Added some better pics to try and show them off as a unit better.
