Not much painting this weekend due to stuff… but did get some pics on the Normandy board that was set up;
November 4, 2018 at 9:03 am #1297192So whilst I was waiting for washes to dry on the Wolves and Deathwatch I was also chipping away at the squad of Dark Angels Legionaries / Fallen Angels that I had kitbashed together. Still need some Leadbelcher/Gunmetal applied to the joint seals & weapons, then a cleanup on the armour plates where I’ve over-painted, but I dig how they are coming together. It was a lot of fun mixing parts from different Marine kits, trying to give each one it’s own character…
Oh, and used up the last of my Stirland Battlemire to base up this bad boy for purging the Xenos 😉
November 4, 2018 at 12:05 pm #1297235Finished her!
Very proud of this one as it’s the first miniature I designed completely from scratch.
Also we sometimes forget how bloody small these things are. Realistically they should be viewed from a sort of foot away not blown up to giant photos so it shiws every little imperfection.
With that in mind, here’s what she looks like from a foot away. I encourage all to do the same.

November 5, 2018 at 2:11 pm #1297664I’ve finished off the last of the greenskins for my Ork project. This just leaves 3 vehicles and a really big gun.

The project log can be found over HERE. I hope to finally have this done soon. I’ve apparently been working on this since the middle of August. Its dragging now and I’ve so much other stuff I’d rather be painting, but I’ve had Orks on every available surface so I haven’t had room to paint anything else. Not long now though I hope.
November 6, 2018 at 2:06 am #1297915I painted the terrain in the Killteam starter box.
I have some Genestealer Cultists painted but I’ve built the options I need to round out some weapon choices along with the Mechanicus components in the box. They’re next for the brush.
More pics and details in the hobby blog.November 6, 2018 at 4:51 am #1297943Finished some armour elements for my US Army. First time weathering vehicles. Not going to be the greatest. I used oil paints but next time I want to try the hair spray method.
Two shermans go to my local store for Tank War demo kit.

November 6, 2018 at 1:29 pm #1298159Continued work on Albaxus Flametongue of the Draconids (ShadowSea).
Focus was all week on the base and the armourplates on the legs, while I also started the wings.
progress also in my blog: Into the Abyss with DeepWars and ShadowSea
November 6, 2018 at 4:14 pm #1298240So a friend of mine has started tempting me by the Song of Ice and Fire game. Played a game, the fast gameplay was cool and the miniatures were great.
Not sure if I’m jumping in 100%, but I picked up the Lannister characters box to paint, mostly as I like Tyrion and the hound as characters in the show.
Tyrion is mostly complete, the hound and high sparrow are WIP. Bother the hound and high sparrow are tricky as they are very monochrome.
