    Finally back to painting actual minis instead of terrain, and I’m cracking into some of the resin from Fallout:Wasteland Warfare. I’m starting off with a nameless scavenger since it will get the most use with the tutorial mission with the starter set and I’m still waiting for my resin counterpart for those minis.

    @silverstars Awesome paint job! I never got into the Fallout games but know people who love them. The game’s minis seem pretty good. What is the material they are made out of like?

    @thebucklandbrewer Some nice minis there and look good so far. What is Deep Wars like to play?

    @bothi Gorgeous minis and smooth painting. I love the bases.

    @chaosgorka Wow! I never liked that monster because I thought it looked silly from the artwork with all the colours but you’ve given me a new found appreciation of the Demogorgon.

    Red and Grey on the catachans works. Looks great

    @piers Beautiful stuff. Airbrushed?

    @dogma2097 Nice to see a Chapter that doesent get much attention being done. Death Strike! Is that a Black Templar vet converted?

    @lobstermooch That’s the first of five? God help their opponents.

    @civilcourage Digging the white and blue.

    @lawnor I love the old school Orks. The skin and basing really makes them pop

    @144artist Ive always liked that model. Is he an elf or troll? I don’t know enough about Wolsung…

    @amachan Yep, that is one radioactive pooch, beautiful greens! It could make a nice Hound of Tindalos or Lockjaw (from Marvel).

    Then again I might drybrush the stones again with Tyrant Skull just to even it out… or should I… nature isn’t symmetrical or uniform…

    Blood and Plunder – Getting Started

    FB_IMG_1539157293108

    I resurrected a project. I had a forum thread running on BoW version 1 that sadly died when we moved to 2.0, but I hadn’t actually added anything to it in some time.

    I am hoping to catch up with another Blood and Plunder enthusiast soon for a game, so even though I have tried to tell the journey of getting into Blood and Plunder, I will be adding my latest paint jobs there as well.

    @mage as for the Fallout mini resin, it has a LOT of detail, and very pronounced edges that make painting very easy. The resin is firm but soft enough to trim flash very easily. You do need an airbrush/spraycan to get the primer on since trying to use a brush only caused beading with very little adherance. Once I zenithal highlighted some black and grey Vallejo primer it wasn’t an issue though. Just had to be careful not to touch the mini itself until I varnished it twice.

    I believe I have finished the basic paint job on Fredrick Olafsson.  @mage Fredrick is a Troll in Wolsung.  I highly recommend the game and BoW have a ton of Let’s Play videos that helped get me hooked.

    Now I need to work on the OSL of the burning blade so that is tonight’s task.  More photos on my Project Blog; https://www.beastsofwar.com/project/1223909/#snav

    @mage thanks man

    So this weekend I was contacted and picked up a big commission for all of the harry potter miniatures that are currently out for the game. Last night I was able to finish up the death eaters. So much more to come.

    @mage – was finally ready to do Blue Marines, but not the usual suspects. It is one of the Sword Brethren BT models, yeah – in metal (which is how long he’s been hanging around in a bitz box) – that was a lot of dremelling. Similarly to Templars, Death Strike are Imperial Fist successors, but they went the complete other way with their zealotry… in that they literally couldn’t care less about faith and belief. They couldn’t get away with absolute Nihilism in the Imperium without being declared heretics, but it’s kinda a handy excuse for them being such mental fighters… it’s a kinda 40k-ised Existential Moral Nihilism – they place no value on their own life or “right and wrong”, but they do recognise that existence is preferable without the predations of warp-creatures, xenos or heretics. They fight for all humanity as opposed to strictly following the Imperial Creed.

    @chaosgorka great work! that pic ever loaded for me last night…

    @dogma2097 I didn’t know they were IF successors nor their culture, thats quite cool. Thanks for the detailed write-up. So, they are basically Mathew McConnaughey’s character from Season 1 of True Detective in their outlook?

    @sundancer You are making nice work of those Rebels for Legion! 🙂

    Also, guys, check this out!
