This is something that I’m rather proud of. Not only is it my first Warhammer model completed, but it is my first actual base work too. Well, technically one of my first base jobs as I did all 10 bases for my T’au Fire Warriors in a batch to keep them all looking like they are traversing the same landscape.

Bonus: I’m trying to work on my miniature photography. I think these didn’t come out half bad.

Mounted fugue is Pyrrhus by Relic Miniatures. And a WIP of some Victrix Hypaspists.
Both for use in Clash of Spears

Completed my T’au Fire Warriors models from the 2019 Kill Team two-player starter set (super timely, I know). I tried some experimentation on the models since I don’t ever really see myself bringing them to the table top. Some of it I’m super proud of, some of it not so much.

Also, I’m in love with these magnetic display cases from a company called Cobalt Keep. They really make my average paint job look better than it probably is.

I keep forgetting to actually make a project on for the Spring Cleaning Challenge, but I doubt this would count for the outdoor adventure.

However, I digress.

Over the weekend, I finally competed in my first ever painting competition. It was also my first time painting a Space Marine. A local game shop was hosting a competition to have the winning paint scheme be the store’s official chapter colors. I unfortunately didn’t win.

The local park was hosting an Earth Day celebration the same day, so I took my defeated Space Marine on a walk through the strange, colorful, and anti-Grimdark place.

I have Cobalt Keep’s figure holder. The light is great! Goosenecks for everyone! 😀

Anyway, painted up the Archon “Deuslair: Sample Pack” sent to Dungeons and Lasers 4 backers. Also got the “Elven Woods” Encounter pack done, as well as some Reaper Bones figures for scale. The cottage in the background is from Battle System’s “Village Set” and tiles are Ravenkeep’s “Terra Tiles”.

Archon has 48-hours left on its “Dungeons and Lasers 5: Deuslair” KS. Miniatures are non-generic fantasy, but, if you play “Five Leagues from the Borderlands”, you’ll find some unseelie fay for the Ice Queen faction, and catfolk and birdmen for the Feral and Preen characters. “Elven Woods” has trees and a campsite for the Camp scenario.

Front back

I’ve gone and done it again. One more massive monster (about 145mm to the tip of the horn) for my Arabian Knights project that is off my chest. More work to go but better to have this done.

End of a Contract

A third ride. A third battle. The lord is indeed working us hard for his gold. The adventurers last sent to investigate these ruins and fend off the bandits have not returned. Rumors we have gathered persist that the dead are slowly taking over. Bandits alongside undead suggests more than mere bandits. And rumors also hold of enemy plans or other evidence that will aid us (or at least a more heroic “us”) to take down the threats of this valley.

Painted a whole freakin’ Archon: Encounters: Land of the Giants set for this game. 😛
Map by Loke Battle Mats, Wilderness Map book and Big Book of Battle Mats. VTT mega-map KS coming.
Ruins terrain by Archon, Lands of Giants. Bridge from the Mines half-wall set, and Fantasy Dungeon terrain. Cathedral from Cursed Cathedral and Stretch Goals II sets.
“Squealers” miniatures by RBJ Games
Corpses are “Tiny Furniture’s Harvest of War” miniatures. Sequel campaign coming!
Stone walls by Acheson Creations. May be OOP.
Red-grey ruins by Secret Weapon Miniatures. OOP.
Heroes and Skeletons by Reaper, Bones.

The Cursed Cathedral

The Cathedral called once again, to animate the bones of myself and my fallen comrades. We had assaulted the Cathedral, only to find the bony fate that would beheld us once we fell as well. Tired, desiring even a slumberless rest, not all of us knitted back our bones to obey the needs of the Cathedral. Its prey of flesh was across the river, and we trudged forward, dimly aware of their living, but not of the bolts and arrows that pelted our bodies. The Cathedral even summoned a boatload of undead, led by a Grim Knight, though I saw it fallen first with a well-placed bolt to the head. As we made our way across the river, I saw the boat, the lifeless undead returning to mere lifelessness. As arrows pierced my body, I returned to nothingness as well, free of the Cursed Cathedral.

Painted up some skellies, including a skelly-woof! 😀
Five Leagues from the Borderlands. Shambling Dead encounter.
Map by Loke Battle Mats, Wilderness Map book and Big Book of Battle Mats. VTT and Roll20 mega-map KS right now on KS!
Ruins terrain by Archon. Cathedral from Cursed Cathedral set.
Corpses are “Tiny Furniture’s Harvest of War” miniatures. Sequel campaign coming!

Efreet 2 One of three models that I added photos of on my project. The Golden Button has been impetus for kicking out more work.
