Happy Almost Halloween!
More Tiny Furniture sculpts! Zombie Baker, Zombie Hermit, and the dog from Kennel with a Dog with a Secret Weapon Miniatures “Field of Screams” base.
Tiny Furniture’s “Sitting Miniatures” KS starts November!
Nothing says “Pay your bills” like 365 tons of ComStar customer service.
Moonstone Start Box Complete!!
Finished off the final 2 members of the Commonwealth faction, Baron Von & Eric so that is the Starter Box all finished!!
Here’s the two lads – as usual there are more photos plus a family snap of all the starter box minis over on the project page HERE! for those interested. }
For a while now I have been meaning to go for a simple B/W scheme with some spot colours as a way of getting a small force to the table quickly – I just never could make my mind up what might work best. At the moment I don’t have the time to do much, but curiosity got the better of me so here is a one-off experiment.
Few more bits! Two new projects to add to list! Recently started on a monster of a ‘ mini’ – The Ice Jotnar for ParaBellum’s Conquest. 16cm high this fella!!!
Also made a start on a limited edition Darth Vader mini for Star Wars: Legion. Started with the base for this one

Hey, I’m getting to work on some of my Kingdom Death stuff. If you’ve got five minutes, I’d appreciate some feedback!

Really nice brushwork, well done! If anything, I’d be tempted to push the contrast a little more (though this sometimes can create a slightly “cartoon-y” look). Darker shadows and brighter highlights are the easiest way to bump up contrast. The fur around the guys boots are a great example of where it really works – even though it reads as almost-white, the shadow parts are almost black. An “easy win” is to further edge-highlight things like fingers and toes (even a simple line along them to further separate them is enough) or some pure white along the highest ridges of the folds of the white dress. Something to separate the skin from the dress would also bump up the contrast (either a dark line or make the skin a bit darker where it meets the line of the dress).
Maybe whack some ink/shade in the stitches on the guys tunic, then pick out the largest stitches going across (if you wanted to go really overboard, edge-highlighting where the two seems meet would really make the seams “pop” but just picking out the larger stitches would probably be more than enough!)
But these are more like “adding sparkle” – the overall paintjob is pretty impressive!
Just added another chapter to my Primaris space marines chapter project. This time it’s the long overdue Ultramarines.
Decided to take a different tack and go for crazy punchy blue for the armour. I really like it but would love to know what you guys think?
Video guide for this mini coming soon
