Well, my “trees” project is just about done. Teaser pic of one of the finished pieces is just for attention, so to see the project in all it’s “glory” (I use the term loosely), please click this link.

I finished this nautical fellow some time ago but just took pictures.  A very entertaining resin piece from Reaper.

The blank scrollwork at the top of the throne was really a missed opportunity that was bothering me.  A Google translate gave me the Latin for Pirate King which seemed to fit the space and sculpt.  Straight lines in two colors gave me roughly carved letters.  Okay, now I can call him finished.

10mm-scale 3D printed file from 3D Breed. I used it as a break from painting Napoleonics, really like the file and it was fun to paint as well. It is an Anglo-Dane leader stand, primed black and worked up from there.IMG_3173

One of the things I love about the The Barons’ War: range from Footsore is the fact that in the reign of King John one of the best known outlaws, Robin Hood lived. Robin Hood is a legendary heroic outlaw originally depicted in English folklore and subsequently featured in literature and film. According to legend, he was a highly skilled archer and swordsman. In some versions of the legend, he is depicted as being of noble birth, and in modern retellings he is sometimes depicted as having fought in the Crusades before returning to England to find his lands taken by the Sheriff. In the oldest known versions he is instead a member of the yeoman class. Traditionally depicted dressed in Lincoln green, he is said to have robbed from the rich and given to the poor.

I have added three armed warrior knights to my Militis Christi of St Mary de Pratis Abbey, though they could be Templars from Rothey Temple for my The Barons’ War: from Warhost and the figures from Footsore. These are a very nice little set of figures and I have given them the same colours as the monks to match them in.

I’m calling these Krueger and Fry (the latter you can guess why).

    Hello there!

Ok, it’s been a long while since I posted here. But it’s been some time since I could find some time to paint anything…

    So here’s a little something!

Some military goons for Stargrave/Five Parsecs. Not the greatest paintjob but let’s call it tabletop standard 🙂

These are the “official” Stargrave troopers box and like their fantasy brethren and sistren they are excellent.

I plan to paint another five as troopers and the other 10 as corporate security.
